In 2016 Liverpool have scored more PL goals than any other team 😉
Yeah, but again, if you play Firmino as the striker, that means no place for Sturridge (or Benteke) and if you remove those two from the team that's nearly 20 goals missing.

Thats actually a problem in a way. We're second in goals scored, behind City & second in goals conceded for teams in the top half. Exciting stuff for the neutrals, without question, but how many Liverpool fans hearts wil be hanging on a thin thread? In 2016 Liverpool have scored more PL goals than any other team 😉

Looking at the table from last season, we have to set a target at about 36-40 goals conceded.
Seeing as we conceded 50 goals last season and have conceded 7 in 4 now. We certainly have a job to do.
Getting rid of those personal mistakes would be a good start...
Yeah, we have always suffered from individual errors leading to a handful of important goals lost every season. One of the stats that jumped out with Matip and Ragnar was that neither had made errors directly resulting in a goal. Safety first.
That would be insult to the actual best midfield in the worldWe should bring back the "best midfield in the world" song :
We got Roberto Firmino, Can & Coutinho, Hendo and Gee-O Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh

LOL! I agree.. it doesn't really work. Two immediate problems:
- Firmino isn't a midfielder
- Who the fuck is Gee-o?
Ahh. Gini. Not Gee-o. I'm also uncomfortable about including any of them in a song about the best midfielders in the world.
Alonso, Gerrard and Mascherano were certainly in the top echelon of midfielders in the world. Sissoko at the height of his powers (before the eye injury) was capable of destructive performances, and though it was stretching credibility to say he was one of the best in the world, I'd seen him single-handedly fucking annihilate a Chelsea midfield comprised of Essien, Ballack and Lampard, when in his pomp. We had every reason to be presumptuous.

Dance then, whenever you may be,Also the new song is missing Lucas
My main point stands: he isn't good enough or prolific enough to be our main goal threat on the pitch.
That was my main complaint and irritation.
He is a support striker. A number 10. Whether it is Sturridge or whoever as the 'lone striker' we can't have Firmino as the striking focal point.
We simply won't score enough goals
He has his parents' faces tattooed on his arm, due to the tight-knit family he grew up in
Fire away.
Great article too.
I passed the tests that were asked of me there and that got me the move to Germany. I could have stayed in Brazil but I wanted the challenge.
'I remember the first day getting to Hoffenheim. Minus 20! The weather was different, the food was different. It was cold and I found it difficult but I am not someone who gives up. I had it in my head that I would have to battle, to fight and work hard to make my dream come true. I ended up here.
'This is my dream. I'm relaxed about being away from Brazil. I know after all this hard work, I will be compensated. When I knew of Liverpool's interest, I watched a lot of videos to see what I could expected. When they asked if I wanted to come, I did not think twice. I just said yes. There will be times to enjoy things in the future but now it is about work. I won't stop.'
Firmino did not think twice about moving to Liverpool when he found out they were interested
And he doesn't stop. So far this season, he has covered 46.9kilometres and he is relishing the chance to press and pester the life out of Chelsea's big money deadline day signing; Firmino's face lights up when he talks about David Luiz but friendships will be on hold when this rivalry resumes.
Fire away.
I hope to see this thread continuing in a similarly fawning, adulatory fashion for as long as possible.
Brendan is finding it hard to accept that Firmino is boss. But he's slowly getting there, I hope 😉
I agree. How, in the name of Robbie, did he omit wonderman from that song? That would be insult to the actual best midfielder in the world
