What are everyone's thoughts on him and his role this season? He's been in really good form throughout pre-season but often goes unmentioned. Maybe because we have a dearth of attacking midfielders and as a striker he might not score enough goals.

I think it'll be interesting to see what role he plays this season. Klopp uses him up top alot of the time, but with a front three from Origi, Sturridge, Mane, Ings and sometimes Firmino and/or Coutinho, there are going to be some benched big name players at times. He links up quite well with Origi, Mane and Coutinho too.

I think he's a terrific player and he came on alot last season as it progressed, if he can add more goals he'll be a class act for us.

I have no idea what too expect.

Sturridge, origi, firmino, Ings, wijnalldum, lallana, Henderson, Milner, can, mane, ojo?

There's plenty of quality there and you could create so many front 5/6 combinations out of them

I like his work ethic, and his Lampard'esque ability to always find the last touch in the to get a shot on goal.

My biggest concern with him - and he gifted Milan their best chance with this - is his faffs around on the ball too much (it seems his mind is working too slowly) and that either means we lose possession, or we ruin a good attacking play.

He's ace. Love him. He's a really bright player, and repeatedly finds himself in dangerous positions, probably because he's braver than the Lallanas of the world who seem to be frightened of pushing into goal scoring positions.

I think he'll get more goals. I think Origi will too, so when you add a returning Sturridge, Ings, Henderson and the new additions of Grujic, Mane and Wijnaldum, then we've got the potential for a much better goal return.

Played Behind the front man he will get goals, just don't play him up front as we can look toothless in attack.

Said in the Markovic thread, I reckon he could be ace this season. No massive price tag hanging over his head, hopefully no massive emphasis on creativity. Maybe he'll romp it.
If not, the useless cumsock will be in next year's cull (which I'm already excited about by the way).

Needs to sharpen up for me. For a Brazilian his touch and sloppyness really leaves a lot to be desired. I'm hoping that'll be ironed out in his second season with us and we'll continue to see the positive side to his game even more.

He's definitely good for 12-15 League goals.

Not all the time. He was pretty bad when BR was around but improved when Klopp came in. He still had some stinkers mind but they are getting less frequent.

I kind of like him and think he will do well but I'm not exactly sure where his best position is.

The Echo called his touch........ 'filthy'. His touch is superb most of the time.

Agree on the goals.

That was probably more down to getting adjusted to the league.

He's alright. No pace and won't ever score enough goals, so it will be interesting where Klopp plays him.

He's too slow to play wide so I would play him near to our striker Stutridge

He has plenty of competition from Mane, Lallana and Coutinho

I'm not sure anyone knows what he is.

He's impressed more as s striker than anywhere else and should be play as close to the goal as possible. There's some talent and skill there so hopefully can progress further this year.

So... he looks significantly bigger.

Time in the gym?...or... did he steal more than just a hair cut from the Sumo superstars on his Japan trip?

It's hard to say. His stats are always dead good but he looks like a lazy cunt when you're at the game.

Strange. Looks like he works his bollocks off. 10 goals in 31 games last season. Enough promise there to be proper boss this season.

And that's what the 'kms run per match' says too. I guess he just comes across as lackadaisical.

I think he's going to be key for us this year - I actually think Klopp will use him over Studge in some tougher games. With more goal scoring AMs, I think his presence in that 'false 9' role (even though he loves trying to get in the centre and head the ball) will be more effective.
