Final tickets

I wish I could afford it. Id love to go and just be there. Dont even care about getting in, just bar, beer, redmen.

Will have to ask my Kicker journo friend if he can get me a couple of tickets.

They really should just pay off the current stadium/club and move onto a stadium with at least twice the capacity.

I know about 15 people at work who have been based on Basel for a project for years now - turns out about half of my firm's partners are closet Liverpool fans and are claiming all of the hospitality tickets we have been given from our client. Im considering taking a few days off just because I know I can stay in one of their apartments.

What's a fucking disgrace is that it's being played in St. Jakob-Park, a maximum 37500 seater capacity stadium. Why would you hold a final in a B-rate stadium. There are scores of stadiums that hold 60K+ spectators, why would you not choose one of them?

Because it's UEFA and they're a bunch of cunts who couldn't organise jack shit if they tried

Any chance of a trip to Ireland in September to see The Chemical Brothers at Electric Picnic festival? LCD Soundsystem and New Order also playing.

Fuck fuck fuck. Why did I cash in my points.....?

Um, this is not impossible. Still unlikely but it is definitely more possible than it would have been last year. I will begin to give it some consideration

It's sold out.

That Irish thing, not the final.

Anyways there was some kid in the pub who'd entered the UEFA ballot with 20 odd email accounts and he's ended up with 8 tickets for him and his mates. So we can all piss and moan but it's all our own fault for being shit.

Oh, and UEFAs for holding it in a stadium the size of a wheelie bin.

The amount of bunking in is going to be off the charts.

Ah you'd get a ticket closer to the festival.

Surely your kids will find a way to bunk into the final?

Do man. Keep me posted. I was there last year. You'd love it.

I doubt they'll be travelling over, they got A levels and uni shit. Believe it or not they're quite together. It's a shame really!

A load of my eldest's lads mates booked the flights ages ago and none of them have any tickets or any desire to get any. He said two buses of them went to Wembley for the city game, no tickets and only one of them didn't get in.

That's ridiculous. I'd love to hear how they do it? Like do they keep moving til they find a seat that's free?

I don't think the seats are the prob. I was meant to be about thirty rows behind my youngest in the next block for the final, but once I was in I just went and stood next to him and no-one said anything. The seats are way bigger than at Anfield, easy enough room for three people for every two seats if everyone is stood up, as they tend to be. It's the getting in. They just double up when people flash their tickets at the barcode. I think it works best when you're a super bendy 26 inch waist kid.

Think I'm going to go anyway, not arsed if I get a ticket of not. It will be ace just to be in Basel with my fellow reds. Going to book the train, seems like the quickest and least expensive option

My mate's getting 3 corporates. There's 15 of us he's putting in a pot for them.

Seven & a half to one chance isn't bad (he needs a ticket himself obv, so two up for grabs).

I've booked a week in Mull to go chilling with the missus and me dogz.

But I have just noticed that there's a flight from edinburgh connecting in amsterdam that gets into basel at six for 85 quid.

Not bad. Train is working out at £115 via Paris. 6pm into Basel, not much wiggle room if things go south

My mate Dave the travel agent just got us flights for 0 to Zurich from New York. Now it's a case of

  1. Getting tickets
  2. Hotel - no worries
  3. Getting some understanding at home (will be tough)
