Scored his first La Liga goal in 8 years ... He hasn't started much bar cup games - where's scored a few too.

Looks like he's happy, appreciated and scoring at a pretty good clip ...

I guess some players need that kind of adulation to succeed ...

The fact he's not starting much says more. I do agree that he'll do better playing for a club he cares about, but he's a long way off being a "success" there and he'll never come close to what he achieved with us.

^^^ I do in a small way. He's an ex red who sullied his career with us - There is a massive temptation to say 'fuck you!' He was good for us though and of that there is no denying.

I'm happy for him.

I don't even know if I can put an exact reason on it, but i genuinely am.

Still think he's a good guy, maybe thats a part of it.

Singing a song to a player who put zero effort into months of games before he left? I've never, ever, seen someone basically pack up and sulk like he did. He can feck off and I hope he comes on to absolute silence. Or a shower of bricks.
Yeh he did, but he was absolutely amazing for us before than, I remember that, he's already paid for his mistakes.

A great moral lesson then: you can quit the club long before you actually leave it, then join the most disgusting plastic pretend club for the cash, sneer at your old club, then swan back and be told you're still loved and respected. Well done.

Just you wait Macca, just you wait for the truth. It's out there and some day, oh some day it will all come out. Some day......

I think he was bought to be a reserve but stats so far:

10 La Liga (5 starts, 5 subs)) - 1 goal, 1 assist
2 UCL appearances (0 starts, 2 subs) -
6 Spanish Cups games (6 starts, 0 subs) - 4 goals

I dont really care either because of how he left, but I'm a bit happy for him that he's finding his feet again at Atletico.
He was so shite it was painfull to watch.

Hope he gets a applauded when he comes to Anfield. Not a great reception or deafning silence. Just a bit of applause.
In a thank you for the goals and excellent performances but you left like a cunt and we remember that type of way.
No Torres song but no boooing either. Its all about the Gerrard match not the former player Torres.

There are more than enough songs to sing regardless. John Terry needs reminding that his mum love Scouse cock.

I can't quarrel with the negative reactions to him, but I've always seen him as more sad than bad. He was in the perfect set-up here and he p!$$ed it away, more than likely because his agents decided it was time to make more money out of him and dripped poison in his ear for that purpose. He visibly regretted his decision the minute he signed for Chavski and his whole career went up the spout from that moment on. More of a tragic figure than a baddie IMHO.

There's something about good looking Spaniards. You risk too much of your well-being to support them and then end up turning into a broken bitter, but flawless machine that goes into the future feeling nothing and caring for nothing except winning.

I'm just glad he wasn't a success at Chelsea, that would of broken me! As it is, I think he got what he deserved but I'm ready to move on. I think we should show him some love, if nothing else it will confirm to him he made the biggest mistake of his life leaving this amazing club for a shit brick team like Chelsea!

Show him love? Like this arsehole did when he handed in a fucking transfer request on deadline day to join that classless plastic shithole of a football club captained by John Terry?

I'd really like to show him something but it's nothing to do with love.

Like I said, he can fuck right off. And that's the nicest way I can put it.

we got 50m for him after he was past his best, in return we got suarez (I am trying to forget Carrol). all in all we did extremely well out of him - he scored for us at his peak, cost the Chavs 50m smackers and we got Suarez.

Thanks Fernando. He's found his spiritual home now and I wish him the best.

Yeah, he's a complete dick for what he did and he's a lesson to other players about the grass not always being greener at clubs like Chelsea and City. I do have a small amount of sympathy for the fact that he's declined so catastrophically. He was loved here and he'll never receive that kind of adoration again. He must kick himself over it every day.

Dreamy wanted us to spend 10M on him last summer.
And he's doubled Mario's goal return in less than half the games and would have cost nearly half the price.
Easy decision all day long.
Fucking Mario. Absolute waste of space regardless of how many shite nicknames you gave him.

Can you also stop predicting we'll batter teams, you are starting to become quiet the jinxy bastard. Ta.

No Suarez was signed to play with Torres, we got Carrol

And when he finally scored for them he kissed his laminated badge in front of them. He shouldn't be back at all.

We should have signed him because he scored more goals than Ballotelli.
Easy decision all day long.
Good grief it just gets worse.

We should have signed Torres for 10M cos he's better than Balotelli.

What a fucking moron.
The only one being a moron here is you Ryan.
At the time the option was Mario or nobody. We had to bring in a striker and considering we couldn't get a proven striker who was performing we took a gamble on Mario and as I said then and I'll say again if the choice came down to no striker, Mario for 16m or Torres for 10m it would be Torres every single time.

He's showing at Atletico that he can score goals and will work his balls off for the team. Two things Mario hasn't done.

Does anyone else see DB as Rocky and Ryan as Apollo Creed, and after years and years of being beat down, Dreambeliever will overcome the odds and win the big one?

No?

He's not even working his balls off now for Atletico.
