Ex-Liverpool boss Benitez wanted back at Valencia

I was at the match and thought it was a fair enough sub, but when I got home and watched MoTD it was all about SG looking down his nose at Rafa.

It was like at the Emirates when we drew 1-1 in the first leg of the CL and when I finally got to see a TV everything was about Kuyt fouling Hleb. There hadn't been any bid deal about it at the ground from either set of supporters but over the next week that challenge was on SSN more than Fukushima blowing up is on BBC at the min.

A weird one in retrospect was Torres's form in Rafa's last season. I thought he was playing like a fanny because of the lack of morale or whatever in the dressing room, but he's continued to play like a fanny long after Rafa left. It was Rafa's fault that the poisonous little shit was our only option, but not his fault that he was a poisonous little shit.

431 mins and counting at Chelsea. 1 shot on target and 0 goals.

amazing stat, that. i know i'm convinced he's past his best - is there anyone left that believes he'll get back to the form he showed in his first season with us? i'd genuinely like to know.

Well obviously I hope he doesn't!

He seems to be better when he has had the summer off, so we will see how he goes next season, but his injuries are not all related to that, so whether they clear up or not is another matter
