no point getting stressed. They'll win, and easily.

just accept it and be zen

We know we will play 4-3-3, we know we will play the highline, we know Everton will concede possession, and play hoof ball, target Trent and Gomez.

Not sure why Klopp persists with the same game plan constantly

Remember the days we could out our reserves out against Everton and still smash them…

They will flood the midfield, as they did against Arsenal

------------------Alisson---------------------
Trent----Matip-----Gomez---Tsimikas
------Milner----Bajcetic----Thiago-----
----Elliott--------------------------Nunez
------------------Salah--------------------

Or:

------------------Alisson---------------------
Trent----Matip-----Gomez---Tsimikas
------Milner----Bajcetic----Thiago-----
---Salah-------Nunez-------Elliott-----

I'd start Phillips and Henderson in this. Agree on starting Milner. This is backs to the wall stuff now.

Fuck it, go mad

Trent in midfield with hendo and Stefan. Bit of scouse bite in midfield might help.

Millie at RB to boot the shit out of mcneil, as well as bollock the CBs

Big nat and matip to start. Matip even shite is better than gomez. Hopefully it's fitness that explains his wolves performance.

Tsimi to start ,as the greek scouser gets this game. Robbo to come on later for the hatchet jobs.

Drop salah, as be arsed with his shithouse attitude atm. Nunez on the left, gakpo in the middle (if bobby ain't fit) and harvey on the right.

Keep it tight, keep it compact.

I wonder if Klopp might start with Phillips and maybe put Gomez on the right for some stability? There are some options there, none of them blow me away, but there's solutions for mixing it up and going a bit tighter. The problem is, the solutions all demand that Trent then starts in midfield, so if that doesn't happen, it all feels a bit futile.

Would love it if Klopp did that.

Please Liverpool a win is all I’m asking, a little consolation prize to whats been a terrible 2022 and 2023 so far for me.

Help a struggling man out here.

All my money problems, all my relationship problems, all my family problems, all my health problems all goes away if you win this derby.

I dont want to be living under a bridge with nobody to care for me, with my family disowning me, with not a box of tissues to hold to my name.

Please Liverpool.

Damn, someones dying alone and poor

Good point well made. Better than the other options however

Yep. I think he'd be a totally different proposition, I think he wants to play there too. Imagine if we signed Bellingham, big if, and we had these two as a partnership? It changes the dynamic totally.

I'd go 442. Milner at RB, Trent at RW. Robbo LB, Nunez LW. Phillips and Gomez CB (Gomez and Matip interchangably shit here). Bajcetic and Thiago in the middle. Salah and Gakpoo up front.

EDIT: More like 4-4-1-1 really

If Trent ever does go into midfield, I'd prefer him to be in a drifty kind of free role on central midfield rather than stuck out on the right wing. And not too far forward, because you want his excellent passing from deep.

Longer term I agree; but at the moment we need structure and organisation and Trent's form is patchy. I'd rather give him a well-defined role which allows him to provide assists whilst also covering somewhat for Milner.

Jota's return may be key to the rest of our season.
Hopefully his return means goals ...
I’m sure it will. But I’ll be glad to have a hard worker pressing their defence more than anything. He and Nunez will be a handful in addition to any goals that they may and should bring.
Nunez on the left, Jota in the middle and Mo on the right.

yeah, i am sure trent would love to have a free-role in midfield
problem is, he is a good attacking full back, but not close to the midfield playmaker he might be in his own head

In what universe can we afford to have a free role in midfield? Our midfield is supposed to be hell, there are meant to be bondage gimps there, chained in wrought iron, being fucked by the devil. Then maybe someone else gets to play.

This. All of this.

I'm not against Trent in midfield necessarily bit everyone's ire towards him is predicated on the fact he wanders around leaving gaps.

So, the idea that we would give him active license to do this in a midfield that is already bypassed more frequently than the salad bar at a buffet restaurant boggles my mind.
