Until the top four is mathematically guaranteed, we need to win every game.

Nah. Looking at Our bench yesterday shows us that we have very little to og on Ahead of Tuesday. Our Squad is stretched through injuries, and With City ready to come all out on us we need every fresh leg we have. The Semi is not secured yet.

Top 4 is done mate.

Chelsea have no chance..

They have to win every game between now and the end of the season and hope we fuck up..

It ain't going to happen.. Momentum is Everything, we have it in spades..

They have fuck all...

It's done when it's done, and it ain't done yet

There is no way we are going to lose x amount of games..

We can probably afford to drop 9 points between now and the end of the season and still finish top 4.

Even with that it will have us on 75 points

No chance are Chelsea going to win every game between now and the end of the season..

So if we drop points in the Derby, all is OK with the world

Bigger fish to fry than Neverton

In fact I not even arsed if they win, given the city game in midweek

It will help them to release yearly Dvd or something on those lines..

Come May when we lift no6 it will mean fuck all in comparison..

We need to win every game to make the Top 4 so next season we can fight to be where we are now ? On the verge of the CL Semis ? Right.
Froggy, beating Everton and qualifying for the champions league semi final aren't mutually exclusive.

Keep in Karius, the CBs and Hendo. Rest the rest. I could see merit in playing TAA as he'll be up for it and on a high.

--------------Karius---------------
Clyne--Lovren--VVD--Moreno
--------------Hendo----------------
--------Gini-------Random AM---
Ings-------Solanke-----Woodburn

The back 6 will be fucking solid and the likes of Ings & Dom need to get some game time. Ev are fucking awful at the moment and won't attack us.

If we're playing that front 3 I'd rather woodburn be behind ings and solanke

Think that could work nicely

Gonna be some buzz if/when we beat them with a semi rotated team. Or play the full team and take them off after an hour when up three nil.

I don't know enough about who in the U23s is around and who is on loan etc. but I think it would be great to throw on some high energy aggressive younguns ahead of a quality back line.

I'd play a weakened side. Everton will probably adopt roughhouse tactics and we can't afford any more injuries - the squad is pretty stretched as it is.

We may get thrashed on Tuesday and knocked out but we have to give ourselves the best chance of going through - who knows when we'll find ourselves in this position again.

I get the whole "but it's a derby" but only to a point. They had to cheat their way to a point in the first game this season, we knocked them out of the FA Cup in the second... if they beat us in the third, well, so what?

I'm actually more concerned about the points than the fact it's a derby. Top 4 isn't done yet. Couple bad results and it could come down to that one game against Chelsea, which would be truly awful. Have to hope they drop points along the way.

I want to win this very much indeed, because it's the Bitters and the Count of Monte Bisto.

I wouldn't play a team full of stiffs, no way.

Whilst I agree with your general principle, our reality is that we played a draining game 48 hours ago, have a raft of injuries in important positions, are threadbare as it is (as you highlighted in the match thread the other night when Klopp had to resort to his subs bench), and have a huge return game only a matter of days later against City.

He has to rotate somewhere.

Karius

Flanno
Lovren
Van Dijk
Clyne

Henderson
Wijnaldum
Moreno

Solanke
Ings
Mane

Remove Gini, Mane and VVD after the hour.

Time for Pesam or GKmacca to give us a run down on our youth prospects I guess?

Any likelihood of any kids stepping in? Curtis Jones?

4-2-2-2:
-----------------Karius----------------
Clyne---Lovren---VVD---Moreno
-----------Gini------Hendo-----------
Oxlade----------------------C.Jones
--------------Ings---Solanke--------

I could see Klopp starting one of the first-choice front 3 though.
