I know its the derby but we surley will have one eye on Tuesdays game, and rightly so.
Several players need a rest and some have minor knocks/injuries.

I'd go:

Clyne Lovren Virgil Moreno
Gini Henderson Milner
Woodburn
Solanke Ings

We're well short with injuries and you'd hope that at least Klavan could play and rest Lovren/Virgil.

I really couldnt give a flying fuck about this game in all honesty.

Its a shame we dont have Wilson or Ojo to start out wide. I'm guessing Klopp will start Mane and sub him after 60 odd minutes.

If taking Salah off was just a precaution and he's ok I'd expect him to play 50-60 minutes as he was hooked early yesterday. Probably with Ings and one of Mane/Firmino (for 50-60 minutes).
I guess Clyne and Moreno will both come in but we currently have no alternatives at CB. The biggest question is who to start in midfield with Henderson and Wijnaldum?

As has been said ... we only need a handful of wins to secure Top 4 so this (apart from it being the derby) means very little compared to the glittering prize of the CL Semis. So don't let's put key players in the firing line (keep them on the bench for a litte run-out perhaps).

I'd even be tempted to give Masterson a debut run out in the 2nd half for Lovren. Definitely not Milner who runs his bollocks off and we'll need all that energy 3 days later. Ox, Milner and Can (if fit) will likely be our midfield for the return at City.

Why anyone would give any real concern/priority to this match over our first CL semi for 11 years is beyond me.

I spent 22 years growing up there ... I certainly know the 'local feeling' as well as you do, or better. Though I get the point I don't have to contend with day to day banter any more how about the response being we've just won Big Ears for the 6th time.

I want to win it as much as every one else. But by last weekends games, we have earned Our right to not needing a win. It will be Nice, but Our position in the League is not under threath and the chance (Slim or not) to win the CL should be grabbed by both hands. Having lived with my Evertonian uncle during my teens, I’m ashamed to say I’ve been to Goodison more than I have Anfield.
I don’t feel the usual excitement towards the derby because of CL but we need to twat them either way so that we can stop worrying about top 4 during our CL semis.
