European teams tidbits

Some fans will straight away look at the one player picture & work out how it is affordable without looking at the real full picture & realise it would completely fuck up our wage structure and we either bring everyone up to comparable levels and fall foul of FFP or have a bunch of disgruntled players who will not perform and end up looking to leave
That wouldn't happen. It's like players saying they should be given pay hikes just because Messi was in the team. MBappe is special. Not that I agree with going for him but I don't think that it would disgruntle other players. In fact they'd likely be delighted as it would increase our chances of winning trophies which in turn would earn them big bonuses.

I think getting a new manager and SD is more important than Mbappe. Then work out what works. Mbappe would sell a million shirts on his own plus the expensive hospitality seat.
No doubt sponsorship will deals come in left, right and centre..
I am not going to do the maths that's why you have @Beamrider here. I think a deal can be done where through rev share on Merch and Commercial deals which uses Mbappe.
For what it's worth, I don't think Mbappe would be that big a deal commercially. Whereas a player like Salah will open up Arab and North African markets for the commercial team, Mbappe has more of a global appeal, so he potentially allows you to do a bit more of what you're already doing with other European / Global names. I don't think he brings anything new, just more of the same.
And there's also a good chance that global sponsors will want him in a personal context, or even in France kit, rather than associated with Liverpool, and oractically speaking, Mbappe in a Liverpool kit is all we'd be able to sell.
Fundamentally I don't want him at Liverpool because I think he and his entourage would be disruptive, and it'd only be a season or two before he started prickteasing Madrid again in front of our eyes.

The whole Bayern situation is mad. They appeared to be very well managed for years and years. It's all gone a bit wrong in recent years though from player recruitment to managers.

On paper, they still have one of the two best squads in Europe alongside City - top-level talent, depth, good blend of youth and experience. Neuer-Kim-Kimmich-Sane-Kane is a hell of a spine; that’s a squad built to dominate.

I think something is going on with Kimmich, however - and as he’s their leader and poster boy for this generation of German players, this is affecting the whole team and the national team as well. There would not be noises about Bayern being willing to sell him last 2 summers if everything was well.

Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is being considered as a short-term option by Bayern Munich if they sack Thomas Tuchel. (Sky Germany) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bayern Munich are considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso, who has been linked with Liverpool. (Athletic - subscription)
Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is a candidate to succeed Tuchel at Bayern Munich.(Sky Germany)

Munchen, Minge, Harder. No wonder the guy in the middle and woman on the right look so happy

Surely it can't be Kahn calling the shots here, unless he's been diagnosed with some kind of mental illness recently.

Really do wonder how much "consideration" was put into sacking Nagelsmann and then appointing Tuchel.

God, it'd be great if they got Ole at the wheel and he turned around their champions league tie, just like at United and ended up getting the job full time.

BBC reporting Mbappe will be paid a €150m signing on fee and €15m per year salary by Real.
I think you can basically substitute the €150m for a transfer fee - what Real would have paid to PSG is being paid to Mbappe.
You can then add in bonuses, agent fees etc.
But I have to say it doesn't sound quite as bad as I thought it would, but the idea that the player will be paid a minimum of €225m over five years is crazy.
And it'll surely tempt more players to run down their contracts and leave for free, the only real downside risk being if they get a career-threatening injury in the mean time.

Thank the fucking lord

Be arsed with months of arsenal fans convincing themselves they're the best destination for him .

Jeremie Frimpong greenlights Liverpool transfer

The Netherlands star has now made a big hint about where he wants to go, should he be given the choice of several Premier League clubs.

During a recent interview with Dutch source Ziggo Sport (via Soccer News), Frimpong was asked about Liverpool’s interest in particular. He handed both Man Utd and Arsenal a major blow by responding: “Liverpool? Great club, with history. That would be great. Who knows what the future will bring?”

While Frimpong does not actually name Alonso as being a factor in his decision, it is clear that the coach’s next move will play a role in where the 23-year-old ends up.

After all, Alonso has developed a system which relies heavily on his wing-backs getting forward, a move which has seen Frimpong thrive.

Should Alonso reject approaches from Bayern and Real Madrid and opt to join Liverpool, then Frimpong will likely push to reunite with him on Merseyside.

He's coming lads. Or should I say they're.

9 goals 10 assists for a wingback is crazy, not even the likes of Maicon or Lietchsteiner did that in a single season and they were 2 of my favorites to watch.

He obviously wants to join his buddies:

He sure does, I wonder if you can spot someone else...
We've got Micky the quicky and one of the Timber brothers, probably Jurrien, who's caught the a for alamy? on his forehead.

We've also got Xavi (not that 1) but Xavi with the dreads over there & some guy I can only assume is next in line to play the villain in the next harry potter series.

Its a bit of a "where's Wally" game. Not sure if you were around here when it was a meme.
But something in the image doesn't belong....🤣
