of course you play Vardy, the man was named player of the season.....

even when Vardy has played wide for England he's looked very good, he has pace... unlike raheem he can finish, he tracks back just as well.

No he hasn't, which is why he got dropped and Sterling started.

Why are the pundits claiming we've been so good, when really we've been a little better than a horribly average Russian team? Kane and Rooney have been anonymous, Lallana has run the show.

Russia have been pretty poor. They don't seem to be attacking the ball at all. They need to be told to go at it like it's the Crimea.

Don't think anyone has stood out... quite surprised how well the back 4 have looked.

Would get vardy on for any one of rooney/sterling/lallana.

Time we went 2 up top.

Jesus, Russia are terrible..their best player has been their 37 year old CB.

I thought Ho

The FA moved the non-tournament England rights to ITV because it deemed the BBC 'insufficiently positive' about shite England performances. Hence you now get Clive Tyldsley describing frantic punts out of the box as 'magnificent defending'. It's moronic.

Russia starting to play now, maybe was their game plan all along...

Soak up our non existent attack for an hour and then sneak 1 late on.

This Russian team obviously haven't been taking their PEDs, they've probably been under too much scrutiny.

please tell me that isn't true

Apart from Hodgson there doesn't seem to be *quite* as many hateful twats in this England team as previous recent tournaments
