They're not mutually exclusive, it's not like people showing sympathy for his family don't have the same level of sympathy for other regular people killed in tragic circumstances. This sanctimonious holier than thou bullshit is always predictable when someone high profile dies. It's insulting, presumptuous and frankly ignorant. Yeah you can (I'm not disputing that, but it's not all on the west either), but I'm not the one who brought the faux "it's all our fault" bullshit into the argument about whether we should sympathise with a kid who got killed, who also happens to be quite rich.
