Emiliano Sala

Well this was inevitable. I presume they're waiting for the insurance to kick in or find someone they can sue before they pay anything.

Or they're just following procedure and waiting for official confirmation of his death, before getting into the legalities of it. Which would obviously be the sensitive thing to do, as opposed to say, threatening legal proceedings over money while all of this is going on and his family don't have a body to bury.

Yeah, crass from Nantes. But you could imagine Cardiff thinking, maybe they’ll be gents about it and write it off.

The body recovered from a plane that crashed in the Channel has been formally identified as that of the professional footballer Emiliano Sala, police have said.

The aircraft, which was also carrying the pilot David Ibbotson, crashed on 21 January, en route from Nantes to Cardiff. The families of both men have been notified.

Dorset police said in a statement: “The body brought to Portland Port has been formally identified by HM Coroner for Dorset as that of professional footballer Emiliano Sala.

“The families of Mr Sala and the pilot David Ibbotson have been updated with this news and will continue to be supported by specially trained family liaison officers.”

The wreckage of the plane carrying the two men was found in the sea off the Channel Islands on Sunday, and investigators said shortly afterwards they had seen a body inside.

Efforts then began to recover and identify the body, though they were made more difficult by poor weather conditions. On Thursday, after the body was brought to Portland, police confirmed it was that of the footballer.

Sala had recently been signed by the Premier League club Cardiff City from the French Ligue 1 club FC Nantes. He was returning to Wales from the French city, which he had visited to say goodbye to old friends and teammates.

On Thursday, Dorset police said the coroner would continue to investigate the circumstances of Sala’s death, supported by its officers

From the guardian.

As I said a while ago, the whole plane/ pilot issue is not going away.

The media are not-so-gently circling the story with some barely-restrained Warnock articles, talking in euphemistic terms about the "cosy" relationship between Warnock, McKay, their sons, agency fees, favours done, and money changing hands, not to mention them being responsible for putting Sala on that plane, with that pilot.

Sala was texted by McKay's son - who played for Cardiff and was signed by Warnock(!) - that a private plane was being sorted by his Dad, so he got that instead of a commercial flight.

This is why Warnock's so fucking jumpy and thinking of "walking away". He's about to get BTFO'd.

I think there’s more to this too.

It sounds like Mckay’s sorted out this plane on the cheap with one of his mates or someone he knows, and they’ve turned up with the plane equivalent of a 1980’s 1.0 Litre Corsa and it’s gone horribly wrong.

Someone’s head must roll for this.

The pilot was a part time plumber ffs.

I thought I read somewhere it was arranged via some Uber style app for private jets

My boss’ mate designed one of them “JetSmarter” but even they don’t have planes like that, it’s a joke.

Like I said..

You are prepared to smash a clubs transfer record to bring him in.. you give him the red carpet treatment..

No fucking excuse at all... Given they are premiership club..

Sala essentially has jumped in one of those Dodgy cabs you see from taxi firms in London, that see peeps standing on a street corner hustling tourists for business

Something really stinks in all this...

If you buy a car on finance, then write it off, you still have to make the payments for it until the balance is paid by the insurance company.

I don't see why this is any different.

What if you’ve signed up for it to be delivered on 30th jan but it was written off on the 29th?

If you already signed to take ownership of the car, then arranged the courier & it was written off by tbe courier, it's still your car.

They'd signed the player, then they'd arrange the plane.

There's no way thwt I imagine they can get out of paying for him or even legally delay it.

Vincent Tan: 'Ello, I wish to register a complaint.
(No response.)
Vincent Tan: 'Ello, Miss?
Nantes Owner: What do you mean "miss"?
Vincent Tan: (pause)I'm sorry, I have a cold. I wish to make a complaint!
Nantes Owner: We're closin' for lunch.
Vincent Tan: Never mind that, my lad. I wish to complain about this striker what I purchased not a week ago from this very club.
Nantes Owner: Oh yes, the, uh, the Argentian fella...What's,uh...What's wrong with him?
Vincent Tan: I'll tell you what's wrong with him, my lad. 'E's dead, that's what's wrong with him!
Nantes Owner: No, no, 'e's uh,...he's resting.
Vincent Tan: Look, matey, I know a dead striker when I see one, and I'm looking at one right now.
Nantes Owner: No no he's not dead, he's, he's restin'! Remarkable forward, the Argentinian, idn'he, ay? Beautiful touch!

Would like this twice if but I could.

What are your thoughts? Some kind of black-ops conspiracy? A Zionist plot? False flag operation designed to sow mistrust and hate?

Flat Earth? I bet you like flat earth stuff. Watching grainy YouTube clips of 'moon landings' with your protractor out, your tongue between your teeth and a deeply furrowed brow, in a dreadful parody of human cognition
