Apparently the pilot was a plumber from Scunthorpe that flew part time.

Did he book the plane using an app on his smart phone?

UberAir may have gotten off the ground... only to go crashing in to the sea.

That’s a one-star rating all the way

‘Pilot was very crash-y’

David Ibbotson, the pilot who is missing along with Cardiff City footballer Emiliano Sala after the plane they were travelling in went missing, said in the days before the flight that he was "rusty" after flying to France at the weekend.
Well, if the pilot was made out of iron, or some other metal suspetible to oxidation, its no wonder the plane crashed, must have been well over the weight limit.

This Whole thing is very weird…. And the more details coming out it becomes even more weird. After Internationals we spend quite a sum to bring our overseas players well home in a luxury jet. And after spending a fortune on a single player Cardiff allow him to hothchike with a plumber from Scunthorpe flying an old Piper With a rusty ILS arranged by his agent. Was he in such a hurry gettting out of France?

I said this the other day.. it stinks from the clubs perspective.. All very amateurish..

He was their record signing.. you surely would lay out the red carpet treatment if you are prepared to spend the money they did on him.. Especially with the revenue they are now bringing in being in the PL

I'm sure I read that Cardiff had no knowledge of his travel plans to the detail of the plane he was on. However you'd think that they'd enquire with the agent that it was worthy of their top signing.

No.. cardiff offered to put him on a commercial airline. I.e. Easyjet.

The agents SON plays for Cardiff z team or something.

Asked Sala if he'd prefer that.. Therefore arranged a private charter flight. Via some uber-pilot service.
