Rumours that he's available for 10-15m in January after an unhappy 6 months at Corinthians (despite being 2nd top scorer in Brazil).

Cracking player with a fair bit to prove/realise. Yes please.

Corinthians want £10m for Tottenham and Arsenal target Alexandre Pato
TOTTENHAM and Arsenal have been told that they will need to pay at least £10m if they want to sign former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato from Corinthians in January.

Alexandre Pato wants to leave Corinthians [GETTY]
Reports in Brazil suggest that Corinthians have decided that they will not make efforts to keep Pato at the club in January if they receive a bid that matches their valuation.
However, according to Lancenet, the complex nature of the Pato's move from AC Milan back to his homeland at the start of the year could complicate matters.
The 24-year-old is entitled to 40 per cent of any transfer fee as compensation for dropping his wage demands when he returned to Brazil.
Corinthians are adamant they must receive £10m after forking out £12.5m to sign the Brazilian international last January.

Alexandre Pato is entitled to 40 per cent of any transfer fee
Consequently, Spurs will either need to pay £15m to bring Pato to White Hart Lane, or persuade the player to relinquish his claim to his 40 per cent and pay Corinthians just £10m.
Tottenham reportedly offered £12.5m for Pato on the final day of the summer transfer window, but Corinthians turned it down.
But Pato has grown increasingly unhappy at the club and Corinthians are ready to let him leave, with Arsenal and Besiktas also thought to be interested in the man nicknamed 'the Duck'.
Pato has scored 16 goals for Corinthians in 2013, making him the second-highest scorer in Brazil, but has failed to win over the fans or the media in Sao Paulo.
Incidentally, should Pato move, Corinthians have already lined up another Tottenham target, Leandro Damiao, as their preferred replacement.

Would be a very interesting signing ... Sort of Sturridge/Coutinho like risk/reward signing. I don't think we need another striker, and we have other pressing issues ...

Could be a very good signing, considering we really don't have a third striker on the books, especially with Borini out on loan.

Nah, I'd pass on the "Duck". Unlike Coutinho who played well, but has not been given a chance to be a regular starter at Inter and shone immediately after going on loan, Pato just seems unable to find himself in European football. And now that he is "unsettled" at Corinthians, that means he's failed to settle in his last 2 clubs. Considering his injury record, the chances seem to be stacked up against him. Too bad, he could have been world class.

I used to laud him as the next big thing many years ago but sadly, he has flattered to deceive - i think injuries have a lot to do with it.

The last two posts say it all IMHO. "Coulda been a contender" all right, but a serial stretcher case unfortunately.

i mentioned him sometime ago, I think he could be decent and out to prove something but from what I hear he has not set Brazil alight.
