I might have to go to Finland on Sunday. Hoping it doesn't happen but I'm not optimistic
Hi all - Changed my plans slightly. I'm flying in on the Saturday night now. Getting in around 9.30pm. I couldn't be arsed with a stupid early start. I couldn't nab the apartment so I'm staying at the Hilton near Temple Bar. If any of you fine folk fancy a Saturday night bevvy and is in town that's where I'll be. Meeting up with an old mate of mine Monday. She reckons the Viking Tour thing is a winner - Anyone ever done that or is it a strictly tourist thing?

Those vehicles were taken off the road over the summer due to safety concerns. I believe one in Liverpool also had problems.
Ha ha! Maybe avoid that then!
I'll keep you posted about Saturday. Not sure if I'm up til Saturday or Sunday. I'm not drinking in the Hilton in Temple bar though mate. Too posh for me. I'd much rather a cheap shit hole. Ha.

I don't remember hearing about that. Several of them pass by my window along the canal every day and seem in decent working order. It's meant to be good craic, but I've never been on it myself.

I remember hearing something about it over the summer. My friend was back home and was planning on taking her husband and son down to Dublin for a few days and someone mentioned. Now I can't find anything about it on the internet and I'm starting to question my memory.
They called them duck boats. Or duck tours, or something, here.
They did indeed keep sinking. Turned out the owner had run out of cash & hadn't been doing any repairs, that was the problem, rather than the vehicles themselves.

Having now Googled, it seems like it was just the Liverpool operator that went bankrupt.
He can talk to my mate and we'll make them feel like outsiders. HIGH FIVE.
My buddy who I'm meeting on Monday is fit and single. I could invite her out for after the game. I'm sure you lot would be perfect gents 😎
