No chance of getting the Monday off for me so I'll have to do a Houdini at some point in the evening. Defo up for a few jars all the same.
Morning fellas - All confirmed I'm definitely coming. Just booking my flights now. Looks like an early start for me. I'll be getting in around 8am. I've never been to Dublin before so some advice would be much appreciated.
What's the best way to get from the airport into the centre of town - Bearing in mind it will be a Sunday? Actually thinking about it is it the centre of town where drinkies will commence? I'm going to stay in a hotel in the centre anyway I think as I'm planning on exploring Dublin proper on Monday before taking a late flight home. Anyway fellas any tips on what I can do in a day would be great so I can get planning a little.

The Guinness Storehouse is good. At the end of the tour you end up in a bar with a free voucher for a pint of Guinness. Make sure you get friendly with plenty of non-drinkers on the tour so at the end they give you their voucher. I ended up completely shitfaced on free vouchers. Happy days.
The tour of Glasnevin cemetery is meant to be good and is a little different from the usual touristy things.
The Book of Kells in Trinity college is another popular destination and the long room library which is included in the tour is worth a look.

Yeah I was going to say actually. I'm in the middle of booking an apartment in the centre of town. There will be loads of room if anyone needs a place to crash. I haven't got it confirmed yet but drop us a PM in the next few days and I will see what I can sort out.

What time do you get in at Red Astaire? Your best bet is probably a taxi if you're booking a place to stay, buses obviously stop at designated points. I've been to the Guinness Storehouse. Thought it was only ok. Bar at the top is preety cool. What time do you fly back on monday? If the time suits i might be able to give you a lift bac. k to the airport
