They're all just players we've been linked with though, does anyone really know if they were genuine targets or priorities? We've been linked with a few left wingers and a few left backs, it's churlish to assume that the ones that have signed for someone else are the ones we've lost out on.
 
I didnt compare them Ross. The only comparison I made is that they're both left wingers. which we have missed.
Stop making stuff up to back your arguments..

Young we probably knew was a non starter as he's supposedly been telling people he was off to united for a while . But I think it's fair to say we ,at the very least , expressed strong interest in the others .....at what point we backed away or if we lost out is obviously always going to be up for debate .

I wouldn't have him in a 4-3-3 over Suarez Kuyt or Carroll.

Total 100.55m spent (net spend is 44.7m)

So gross spend by new owners since they took over in October is now £100million

NET 9m each on 5 players. Not bad IMO.

Downing (if he has signed) would be in my team regardless of formation as he is the only genuine wide player we have so in a 4-3-3 I'd drop kuyt.

'I' would drop kuyt in a 4-3-3, I doubt kenny will be dropping kuyt much his season even with the new additions.

Why? Why couldn't he have been our plan a? We've been trying to negotiate with him for months. Kenny said that we wouldn't land all of our number 1 targets.

Maybe the club will surprised by purchasing mata as well as downing to signal our intent for the coming season but I think the clubs priority is now a left back.
 
We paid 13 for Henderson. Regarding the Downing fee, hopefully its a bit under 20 mill. But what can you do when City have started this inflated transfer fees trend. And for all those against us signing Downing, who would you sign? That can play left wing and has the same qualites and would be interested in joining. Who?
