Watching a replay of the Madrid-Madrid derby from last night and this cunt is the shit.

Why didn't we get him again?

Cunt's quality.

It seems he/agent was using us to get a nice salary increase ... which he did.

I cannot believe you want a player like him considering your hatred of Suarez's antics!
I wrote this last night:

[article]Diego Costa must be the hardest striker to play against in Europe - yes even worse than Suarez. He's built like a truck, good turn of pace and seems to be a smarter cunt than our Luis. Always looking to get under the opposing team's skin with late shit (late push on Ebola, on Diego Lopez etc). I like him![/article]

He spits in his hand and throws it at people's faces. Can't believe you'd want him when you want Suarez out so much.

If we make champions league would we make another bid you think ?

Great player he was awesome last night

He scored as many goals as Messi so far this season, but I still don't want this cunt anywhere near our team. Crucially, he would not get away with his antics in England they way he does so far in Spain. And he is on a confidence roll right now, but his technique is still noticeably inconsistent - just look at the way his poor touch cost him in a clean 1 on 1 with the keeper last night. His movement and workrate are very impressive and his character perfectly suits this Athletico team and their coach (who was a similar type of player himself). But if placed in a different situation, I think he would not be nearly as effective and his ridiculously dirty and provocative playing style isn't what we need here.

I can see which qualities attracted Rodgers in him (and we still didn't fill that void with our summer purchases), but we should find a different player who can be a powerful and smart runner, without the unnecessary baggage.

He's brilliant.
Didn't someone compare him to Kevin Davies in the other thread.

Read that he has opted to play for Spain. Will be interesting to see if he gets called up. Will certainly add another dimention to their play

He's the one that got away Mmm
Just imagine our 3 forwards
Suarez Costa Sturridge

Imagine the advertising.. SCS sofas would be all over us.

Missed a pen earlier in the game today against Celta but just scored his 2nd of the match. 11 goals in 8 league appearances.

Forget Henri Mkhataryan, Diego Costa is the one that got away. His having a beastly season and owning everyone he comes up against.

Very much in the central now.

That's probably why he's scoring so many more this season, so it's unfair to take his performances there and say he would have done this well here, however as I thought at the time, he was exactly what we needed for the left, someone who can run with the ball and carries a very strong goal threat. Nevermind, it's not like Suarez and Sturridge are a bad combo.

If he had signed we would still be playing the 4-3-3 with Sturridge and Suarez further apart from each other and less able to combine as effectively as we've seen so far as a front two.

I'm all for having quality players at the club, but in this case I don't think it's that bad we missed out, nor do I think he ever wanted to come here.

Because of the Suarez and Sturridge situation, yes I agree.

(Robbed)

Liverpool fans appear to be calling their current strike force SAS - Suarez And Sturridge.

I'd like to propose a similar alternative for Man United fans:

Welbeck, Anderson, Nani, Kagawa - WANK.
