Ok, we all have had a little bit of a moan about players we let go while been not altogether happy about their replacements, be they either direct or indirect.
So here is the question would you take a straight swap of current players for the corresponding former players.

Meireles for Henderson----- Deal.

Aqualini for for Adam ------I championed the Aqua's signing, but I'd say no deal to this. He doesn't want to be here, so what's the point?

Riise for Aurelio ------- Deal. Aurelio offers us nothing.

Arbeloa for Johnson ------ No deal. Johnson offers a good contrast to the more defensive minded Kelly, which gives us good options.

Cole for Downing ------ No deal. I'm far from Downing biggest fan, but at least he wants to be here and isn't injury prone.

Kyrgiakos for Wilson--- No deal. The time was up for the Greek.

Torres for Carroll - I'd keep Carroll. I've said many times I think Torres will never get back to what he was, I think he's physically past it because of injuries and he seems too full of himself to realise what he needs to do to be good again. Time is pretty much the only thing in Carroll's favour.

Meireles for Henderson - Again time is a factor here too, Meireles is the better player right this minute but I don't think that will be the case for long. Keep Henderson.

Aqualini for for Adam - Easy. Adam.

Riise for Aurelio - Riise all day long.

Arbeloa for Johnson - Arbeloa, easily a better defender and not too shabby when going forward. Johnson is overweight, overrated and overpaid.

Cole for Downing - Downing does bring a better balance to the side, but had I been forced to choose during the summer whether we should keep Joe or spend 20m on Downing I would have just kept Cole.

Kyrgiakos for Wilson - Kyrgiakos wasn't great but he did offer the first team something. Wilson has thus far offered us nothing .... not sure he ever will. The Greek.

Torres for Carroll - I would be tempted to take Torres back on the basis that I believe that him and Suarez would potentially be sensational together and while hid form has dipped he might just rediscover it at his spiritual home

Meireles for Henderson Henderson for the potential and for the future

Aqualini for for Adam Adam by a country mile

Riise for Aurelio Fabio is a classier player than Riise and because he rarely plays has less chance of injury and make a good back up for Enrique

Arbeloa for Johnson Not fussed either way but if the chice was not to have bough Glen and helld onto Alvaro then that is what I would choose

Cole for Downing Downing

Kyrgiakos for Wilson Wilson, how knows he may develop enough to get us a decent transfer fee in a few seasons.
