😱 Villa bidding for Cleverly!!!

Are they fucking mad?
Living in manchester i find myself in some strange debates sometimes. When Cleverly first broke into the United team and was called up by England I spent many hours explaining to my Scum mates why this was ridiculous and what a limited player he was. Now I am arguing the opposite side of the debate with them; they tell me how useless he is and I have to correct them - he was never an international footballer and not good enough for a team with top 4 pretentions BUT HE IS NOT USELESS.

The fee being talked is about right i.e. £8m, he'll do a decent job for Villa.

I also called Wellbeck correctly i.e. thoroughly average EPL player and am currently bringing a few of them around to the fact that Janujaz will never be a "top player".

Good move for him, but it might be a bit difficult for him to get regular appearances considering the scum partnership they have at the back.

Borini/Assaidi/Lucas need to fuck offski sharpish. Squad will look pretty decent after that, and we'll have a zero net spend.
Would be nice to bring in a good DM, but that's never going to happen, it'll be a rezzie keeper if anything.

BBC Sport's chief football writer Phil McNulty: "An offer, believed to be around £13m, from QPR has been accepted by Liverpool for Fabio Borini."

Something on twitter saying we might move for Dele Alli of MK Dons. Young midfielder I know we've been interested in for a while, don't know much more than that.

So we sold him for about what we paid for him? Not as bad a deal as it could have been, considering he did feck all in his time here.

Sending out a bat signal for @Pesam
I've only seen him fleetingly over the last 18 months and it's been hard to guage his potential. I did see him play in their 4-0 win over United last week and even though he wasn't a "stand out" performer for MK Dons that night he looked good. He is athletic, intelligent and seems to have a fair bit of flair but I can't give you more than that I'm afraid.

The kid I'd like to see us sign is Fulham's Patrick Roberts. It's very rarely I get overly excited by a young talent unless I see them 4 or 5 times but I've seen enough in 2 games to KNOW this kid is gonna be huge. We were linked with him a few weeks ago and I hope we follow up on this - he won't be cheap as everyone is after him but this kid has serious ability, and apparently is an LFC fan.
