DEADLINE DAY

When you hear in the morning the biggest deal of DEADline day is a past it Auba coming back to the Prem you know it’s not worth switching the Tv on.

Apparently he was our first choice between him and Arthur. However Juve wanted an obligation to buy, rather than option to buy.

Hence the Arthur deal. Interesting that they softened their stance.
That does have a ring of media BS / Fan drivel about it rather than the actual situation because with both being at the same club it makes no sense whatsoever.

Are we getting an option to buy on Melo? I didn’t think we were
There seems to be no doubt whatsoever Juve would sell though probably they are shop windowing him to boost his sales value.

EDIT - and I see we do have the option to buy, at a reasonable price we could likely get a reduction on.

Dendocker and Gilmour suggest that Villa and Brighton are strengthening their position in anticipation of Luiz / Caicedo moving on next summer, or in the January window.

It looks like they want to see a full out bidding war before letting them go.

Question is: Will we be in on the action in January, or will Utd / Arsenal sweep them up?

Lets be honest. Luiz is an Arsenal and Utd signing. A player for the top 4-6 at a stretch.
He’s not someone you’d like to sign bar drunk on deadline day with 1 fit midfielder in your squad.

Caciedo is our type of player. All will depend on fee, and on current form that fee will be insane.

On our current form we are more likely to do the first type of signing, after talking all summer about the second

Daniel James isn't going to fulfil his early promise, is he? Moved to Man Utd too early. Nice pick up for Fulham though.

I disagree. He's legimate cover for Fabihno.

The Villa fans are saying he's not very good as a 6, but better as an 8. I think we need a player that can play both but to a higher quality than what 25 mill £ for Luiz gets you.

For a free transfer or 10 mill in January, then yeah maybe its worth a punt given his age.

So can Barca register their players now? Will de Jong get paid?

And poor Pique too?

I think the players are registered, but there is still tons of deferred wages owed to players.

Barca sold Auba with a profit to Chelsea and Arsenal paid his wages when he played for them last season.

He's just a speed merchant. Thought Leeds made a mistake signing him, and it looks like they agree now.
