According to Transfermarkt, the Premier League's net spend of 1.28 billion euros is far above the league with the next highest net spend - La Liga at 54m euros.
In terms of money spent on transfers, the Premier League has now spent 2.14bn euros on transfers, which is higher than the next three highest spending leagues combined (Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1) - 1.7 billion euros.
With Spain's La Liga added to those three the total stands at 2.15 billion euros, which is almost identical to the Premier League's spending
Tim Vickery says Danilo is useful to have around but not a world-beater; he thinks Palmeiras will want more than the £20m they’ve been offered and won’t want to sell, at least not until January.

Because several of them have no intention of ever breaking even let alone generating a profit. Chelsea wrote off over £2bn in operating losses when Abromavich sold the club.

He once wrote a long article about why Lucas was essentially on the verge of becoming the world's best midfielder. Something about box to box, goal threat, powerful etc etc.
Ah come on, we should sell to Saints and keep the relationship good for the next time we need to fleece them for a top player.
