Upamecano is a brilliant defender. He is exactly what is needed in short term as a partner of VanDjik and in the long term, a type of player who will take the mantle from VanDjik.
I have seen enough of him in CL and BuLi and convinced that under the right kind of atmosphere he will flourish to be even better than VanDjik. This right atmosphere is of course available only at Liverpool.

At that price there will be loads of clubs interested and we should definitely be one of them.

As an aside, if Matip suffers another injury plagued season he needs to go. Enough is enough. He's great when fit and in form but we need players that can stay fit.
