It is unfathomable why the Irish team composed of championship and bench warming Premier League players cant match the Spanish one made up of the two best teams in La Liga

I know. Particularly when we have a proven winner managing us.

It's the ones who haven't been picked.

They would have made all the difference.

Finton O' Tollio, Brendan Da Silva and the like.

The bit with the Irish and Spanish fans all having a boss time together was aces. Took me back to Dortmund 2001 it did.

not like we didn't already know this, but goddamn Iniesta is amazing. the only other person who can glue a ball to his feet like that is Messi imo

Ireland are a bit outclassed here. Should never give up of course. I'm yet to see an Ireland fan who looks arsed about the score.

O'Shea pissed me off a bit but made a good tackle.

Still a cunt though.

Speaking of fuckers, the brother-in-law bet Spain would win 5-0.

This is like barca vs chavs in the cl final, bar the goal of course.

If this were a draw & went to pens, I'd be confident Ireland would win.

But it isn't, & doesn't.

We're still in this, and we'll get a chance or two second half. Just need to hold out a bit longer.

That was old school torres for the goal by the way. Learned that at anfield.

what an absolutely masterful finish by silva. so calm and collected, you just don't see that very often. it's so refreshing to see someone put that much thought into what they're doing on the pitch instead of just blasting it. Wow.
