So Zlatan might be looking for a move back to Serie A?

Or Man City?
Who nose?

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

I imagine only Chelsea or City would be able to afford him or want him.

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

I reckon Zlatan will stick it out.

He NOSE he's at the pinnacle of his career.

Plus, he won't want to leave Pique.

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

The stronger Barca get the better. We aren't winning a motherfuckin thing for the next few years, hopefully Barca can stop the mancs and chavs winning anything non domestical for the next few!

Fabregas and Villa?

Nope, I'm not jealous at all...
At least no one from England is getting them..

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

If I were Arse, I'd demand 50-60m.

Fabregas has got another 10years at the top (barring injury).

Given that Arsenal stole him from Barca in the first place, I don't think they complain too much if they don't get top whack for him. Still, if they're willing to pay 60 odd million for Ibra and 25M for a centre-back that can't get a game to save his life, I would say Arsenal have got a good chance of getting a nice fee.

My thoughts exactly. Fabregas just recently signed a long term contract. All the cards are in Arsenal's hands.

Apart from the fact their best player wants to fuck off

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

Just a few months ago, he put out some bogus press release stating how happy he was and how he wanted to stay at Arse for the rest of his career....and now this.

Surprised? Not in the slightest.

He will end up at Barca, if not this summer, then next.

This is simply Ronaldo mk 2.

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

Nobody has ever, not once, not *ever* expected him to spend his career at Arsenal

You're wrong almost as much as O'Hare

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

With Barca closing on Villa and Cesc, they won't have funds for Mascherano unless they flog the striker who nose!

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

At this rate, there won't be very many 'stars' left in the Premier League.

Also, La Liga is kinda fucked as the top two are building fantasy squads and the gap between them and the rest was all too obvious this year.
Yup.
Germany and France are the most interesting leagues at the minute.
England, Spain and Italy are predictable as fuck

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

Well at least my favouritest Spanish team is doing well.

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

Wowzers. Fantasy football, but with an actual *team* instead of individual superstars.

*cries real tears*

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

So Villa is the replacement for Henry and Fabregas is just something that was going to happen at some point.

Next up is to try and move on Zlatan, I guess...

... and now the rumours of them wanting Torres as well have started to surface.

I know it's a Barca election year... but surely they don't have enough money to sign all 3.

Barca in for Torres is the one that scares me the most....

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

If they valued Ibra at 70 million, how much would Torres be worth?

We could do very well out of the deal.

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

I read that the Villa deal could be concluded by Friday.

If they sign Villa, I'd be amazed if they spend loads on another striker.

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

From the offical Barca site....

FC Barcelona and Valencia CF closed a 40 million euro deal for Spanish striker David Villa on Wednesday morning.
The Spanish international is due in Barcelona on Thursday evening and will have a medical on Friday morning.

Villa will be officially unveiled as a Barca player at 1.30 in the Paris Room of the Camp Nou. He’ll then make an appearance on the Camp Nou pitch. The stadium doors will be opened to the public.

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

Phew, they surely can't move for Torres now? Zlatan to City next I hope.

If the line up Cesc next i'll be thrilled. Arsenal will struggle and it will be less likely Barca will move for Masher.

Imagine being a Barca fan, signing Villa and Cesc in one window.

Yes, but also imagine being a Barca fan and paying €40m + Eto'o to get Zlatan.

That has to be worst ever deal in football history, even eclipsing the alleged €13m we refused for Lucas last year.

Re: Barca Doing Big Things - Villa Almost Wrapped Up, Fabregas Next

No watch how Arsenal bend over backwards for Barca and show us all how not to do transfer business. Can you imagine if Cesc was at United, Inter or even bloody Lyon? Do you think then they would be trying to get him for £30 million? Not a chance. We should be naming our price (£50 million) and if they dont match it they dont get him. He'd yap for a while but at the end of the day, he knows he's going to be there eventually, i think he has enough love for Arsenal and is professional enough to give his all for another season.

£30 million buys you Berbatov in todays market ffs!

Was a pretty dodgy deal but that transfer happened because:

1. one reason was that Eto'o was always opinionated and he was one of the reasons there was a rift between rijkaard and ronaldinho and himself and the president

2. eto'o has won a fair bit with Barca and laporta didn't want a situtation where a striker lacked hunger to win because eto'o has won and he might not be motivated to score goals

3. madrid spent over 100m, and barca fans voiced concerns about how we didnt buy anyone big name players so laporta went after ibra

Yes that transfer was mind boggling alright but I think they wanted to flex their muscles in the transfer window aswel. Inter obviously bit their hands off.

THIS.

Cat and mouse stuff between Barca and Madrid.

That still doesn't excuse the ridiculous transfer. It was a careless and needless use of funds. Saying that they still won the league.
