Thats what the journos at the Northern Echo have been talking about. He's appernatly on 46k and wants over 60.

Fee agreed then RedShrek?
All i was told was he has to drop wage demands, so im assuming fee has been agreed. The intresting thing is is that its only dalglish who rates him apparently comolli and clarke don't want him. So dalglish is the one driving this transfer on.
Worrying, very worrying.

Even more importantly; Comolli, Clarke and O'Hare don't rate Enrique. Read the signs Kendog.

Clichy is shit and Luis Enrique is boss.

I know this from the couple of times I watched Match of the Day when I wasn't arseholed, and I demand respect.

I like Enrique but I thought we were to trim our squad for this season?

Or more likely, every other cunt is on a diet so that we can feed Charlie.

There were one or two whispers about Poultry going back to Denmark, weren't there?
You can keep trying, but it's never going to stick, Jules.

He is just too shit to have a name other than 'wasteof5million'

Yeah, i heard/read the same, £6m fee agreed with another £2m in add ons

Starting for Newcastle today in friendly match vs. Fiorentina:

Newcastle United: Tim Krul; Danny Simpson, Jose Enrique, Fabricio Coloccini (c), Steven Taylor; Dan Gosling, Yohans Cabaye, Haris Vuckic, Jonas Gutierrez; Peter Lovenkrands, Leon Best.

His agent was in Liverpool allegedly yesterday.

If he signs I expect that it is because he lowered his wage demands.

Btw, Park missing from match day squad in the Monaco's 1-1 draw with Troyes today too.

Edit: Away with national team. Just read this:

One of the difficulties for Park is that Monaco is asking a high price, estimated at $11.4 million, for the striker. And his pending military duty is another factor.

Under Korean law, all able-bodied men aged over 20 must serve in the military, with an exception of athletes who have claimed either Olympic medals or gold medals in the Asian Games. He competed at the 2010 Asian Games, seeking both gold and a military exemption, but the team was knocked out by the United Arab Emirates in the semifinals.

Park, who debuted in the K-League in 2005 with FC Seoul, joined the French league after signing a four-year deal with AS Monaco in 2008.

Since then, he has scored 25 goals in 91 league games for the French club. Last season he scored 12 goals in 33 games.

Park is currently training at the national training center in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, preparing for Korea’s international friendly against Japan next week.
Asked about his future, he said Monday that he was “not worried.”

“Negotiations are well in progress, I’m not worried. The more important thing for me now is the national team’s friendly match. I want to show my best,” he said.

CHRIS Hughton’s decision not to start the season with Scott Dann was down to footballing reasons.

The manager insisted that nothing should be read into his naming of Dann among the substitutes at Derby County.

Dann had missed the previous two warm-up matches because of a tight calf.

And Curtis Davies and Steven Caldwell started three of the four pre-season friendlies together as the centre-back pairing.

Naturally, with Dann likely to be sold before the transfer window deadline, there was also sense in Hughton backing new boy Caldwell, who will obviously be around for the duration of the campaign and has to build up an understanding with Davies in a vital area of the team.

But Hughton said it was not a case of overlooking someone to ‘protect’ a saleable asset.

“Any player at this moment who is contracted to Birmingham City Football Club is available,” stated Hughton.

“As was Scott Dann, but I chose not to play him because he didn’t feature in the last two games and Curtis Davies and Steven Caldwell, the two centre-halves who started, have got more rhythm than Scott has at this moment.

“Although, as I said, any player who is contracted for us is available for selection and will be considered by me.”

“There’s no doubt Scott’s a quality player,” said Hughton.

“But the two centre-halves have more rhythm in their game.

“I don’t know what will happen with Scott. But at this moment, talking as a football manager, I have got his services and I’m absolutely delighted about that.”

Arsenal assistant manager Pat Rice and chief scout Steve Rowley watched Birmingham centre half Scott Dann play in a friendly match against Tottenham.

The £8million-rated Dann is also a target for Liverpool.

Both clubs also watched Bolton’s Gary Cahill last Friday.

However, Dann, 24, was on the losing side against Spurs, who won 6-3.

South Korean striker and captain Park Chu-Young, currently at Monaco, is on his way to London to undergo a medical at Arsenal, BBC Sport understands.

Arsenal are poised to sign South Korea captain Park Chu-Young from under the noses of Lille, it is understood.

Press Association Sport understands Monaco striker Park is set to undergo a medical in London in the next 24 hours with a view to completing a move that could be worth in the region of £10million.

French champions Lille were convinced they had all but wrapped up a deal for the 26-year-old before Gunners boss Arsene Wenger swooped.

Reports on Saturday suggested Park had agreed terms with Lille and had completed the first part of a medical but failed to show up for the second part after Wenger came calling.

Lille president Michel Seydoux told BBC Sport: "We haven't had a telephone call, nothing. From what we understand he could be at Arsenal."

He added: "Like Monaco, Lille are baffled," added Seydoux. "Everything had been agreed."

Surely that'll hurt Arsenal's chances in any move for Hazard in the future? 😛

What the fucks a '2 part medical'?
http://www.physioroom.com/news/featured_stories/medicals.php

The first part of the medical will be undertaken by the club doctor, who will ascertain the player's medical history during the subjective examination.

The findings of the subjective and objective examinations will lead the doctor to order more specific diagnostic tests if required. For example, if the player has had a previous surgical reconstruction of an anterior cruciate ligament rupture, and there is laxity in the joint when it is examined, it may be necessary to have a repeat MRI scan of the affected knee to check its integrity.
