Shit - On the news now, saying that they may ban over 70's from PL Games, but the favoured option is to have games behind closed doors if things get pretty bad, no option to stop games, so @Woland ain't half wrong - we got to win the next 4 games !!!!

FFS.

Winning four games means fuck all.

Just cos we have mathematically win the league, if it's then called off, & all 38 games aren't played, the season is null & void. Simple as that.

That's even fucking worse !!! - it means this season is for sh*t !!! - No one said anything about calling the season off, just that games would be played behind closed doors if the situation gets worse.

Oh @Woland - just to let you know - my wife is a pharmacist and the story of the day from her work is that there was a theft at her hospital - someone has stolen the stashes of hand sanitiser that they use !!! - Oh - also the Paracetamol supply has run out because 80% of it at her hospital is shipped in from China !!!!

Theres nothing in the rule book which says that. However it is likely that's what will happen.

However if we win the next few games and somehow make it mathematically impossible for anyone else to win it, we'd kick up so much of a stink.. we'd probably be given it anyway.

Then all rival fans will have a field day still saying we didn't win the league. Or the null and void trophy.

It has been foretold.

Yep people are stealing them from ends of hospital beds and work places. Some dispensers are being ripped off walls.

Seriously, how low can people stoop.

......

I tell you if we don't win the league for this reason - you can be absolutely sure for life that this club is cursed to NEVER with this league title.

Woland ?! Look at the first post in the thread!

It is actually going to end up with them cancelling the season and us with no title, isn't it?

They can't just let results stand as they are if all games haven't been played. They just can't.

Take yourself out of our shoes & imagine it from Utd, spurs, Everton, or even any of the sides around the bottom of the table. They may have a run of easier games coming & be confident of getting enough points to get out of relegation, or into the CL places.

It'd be opening a huge can of worms. There's also the euros, which if not cancelled, means there's really no way to suspend the season then restart it later, cos there just aren't enough playing weeks to do so.

Best case scenario for us now is them playing games behind closed doors.

Best case scenario (similar to that I stated in the opening post) is getting this done ASAP. If the title is won I doubt they would take it away no matter how they decide to address the other outstanding issues concerning Euro slots and promotion/relegation.

I want United to beat City this weekend and if we beat Bournemouth we'd only need 6 points to take the title. We can get that done even if they insist on closed doors games but even that would come after banning over-70's. There's enough time left to get it done.

They would void the season as all the other stuff wouldn't be resolved.

I actually think they'll just postpone it somehow

They won’t call the season null and void. There is too much money to be made. Also, what would happen to the prize money? Relegation? Promotion from the championship?

United ain't beating no City...

ah !!! darling you have that jealous streak in you, so sweet !!!

That reference to @Woland was in reference to his dramatic thread title "Lad's it's over".

Anyway - hope you are well @Frogfish

Also @Modo - I think there is a strong possibility that they will do over City tomorrow. They have been losing to them at home for the past few seasons, and having watched them recently - they maybe more determined, and that new Bruno fella may prove to be problematic to City. I cannot wait till that game tomorrow - I will be a full on Red Devil full kit wanker tomorrow afternoon.
