Coutinho will not be “fit” for the the FA Cup game on Friday vs Everton. On future: LFC’s tone has changed -it seems they are open to all the options. Sell now, sell now for the summer. Keeping him beyond then seems the very last option. But no offer from FBC has arrived... yet

Hmm, sounds very strange if we sell now mid season.
If we decide to let him go, I hope we have already secured Lemar and someone else.

I'd personally love to see Coutinho go out on a high to adulation from the fans. He's had his best performances for us this past 2 months - when you compare that to other want-aways like Alexis, that says a lot.

He loves playing against City. I'd love to see him be told 'play against City as your last and play your heart out'. I would hope the Kop would give him a great send off.

I wouldn't be against agreeing a fee now with him moving in the summer.
In principle i'm fine with that (although i'd rather it not happen), but I don't want it made public as it then becomes all about him and completely overshadows the team.

Melissa Reddy has also posted saying that we're open to selling him, but only if Barca make a blockbuster offer.

The thinking at the club is probably to demand enough money to sign someone like Lemar AND Milinkovic-Savic.

Now that would be a great deal. Milinkovic-Savic and Lemar would be very good.

FSG are determined to hang on to Coutinho, but are resigned to the fact that he will be "injured" whenever a transfer window coincides with the competitive season, accordingly they will reduce his salary by 2/12 .

Don’t believe this tweet!

Yet it’s obvious Chelsea fans want to believe that Mahrez is joining the Blues.
That’s seen a classic bogus tweet go viral, claiming Mahrez has agreed a five year Chelsea deal.
The Twitter account has used a classic stock picture, it’s obvious the account isn’t a genuine source, yet people are engaging with this nonsense in their droves.

Liverpool might soon have to replace Philippe Coutinho. Could Riyad Mahrez be a potential replacement?

Philippe Coutinho's absence from the Liverpool starting line-up yesterday added to the mystery over where his future may lie beyond this month.
The Brazilian has been strongly linked with a transfer to Barcelona, who still have money to spend after selling Neymar in the summer to PSG.
Letting Coutinho go would be a big blow to the Reds and leave them with a big hole in their side to fill.

One potential candidate who fans are keen to see arrive is Leicester City playmaker Riyad Mahrez.
Mahrez delivered an inspired display yesterday as the Foxes beat Huddersfield, with the Algerian setting up both goals.
The attacker is also free to play in the Champions League as Leicester have had no European involvement this season.

Mahrez led Leicester to a shock title win in 2015/16 and was voted as Footballer of the Year.
The Mail reported in the summer that Leicester wanted as much as £50 million for Mahrez, a fee which scared off Arsenal.
This season the 26-year-old has scored seven Premier League goals and provided eight assists.
Liverpool fans took to Twitter yesterday to rave about his display, and tout him as an ideal replacement for Coutinho...

Really hope we don't lose Coutinho in Jan but have a feeling we will. Though I think it will be a big mistake on his behalf as something special is happening at #LFC. If he does go then we have to get Mahrez in, such a class player & PL proven. What will be will be. #YNWA

Pity - I was hoping it would help you focus on another potential option for us!

Modo has his heart set on Goretzka, Moron on Maura, me due to Falafels and shisha wants to see Mahrez.
At least with my choice there is very little chance he will want to goto anothet club with big stars in having being dejected at one.

I don't think we've seen anything at all to suggest that's the case, but after the summer, who knows?

It's fucking unreal that he'd jib the chance to win the cl with this side just to make extra sure he joins Barcelona. What an absolute gobshite.
