it's easy to be doom and gloom right now, but it's all going to turn around. Our Club is back in Europe's Elite, and one shitty season doesn't change it. The club and fans have to be mentally strong. We missed out on Europe in the past, and we'll be back. We need a strong new manager (not an experiment), quickly to keep talent on board. But regardless, we will get our stadium.

The Club is cheap at 500M, when you consider UTD and Arse are worth 1BN, (Yes I know we need a new stadium). You don't fall that far that fast -we're not about to be overtaken by Citeh on a permanent basis. Things seem worse than they are. We'll be back. We're made of stronger stuff than that. We've got too much going for us, as a club to lose it all overnight. It just seems that way!

Too right, mate. When the going gets tough, and all that.

I haven't been on here much lately so forgive me if this is common knowledge, but what's all this about Rafa missing two meetings yesterday?

He missed one before the atletico away game apparently which is reasonable given the travelling shenanigans. Dunno about the one since then however.

I heard this morning that it was reported late on last night on Radio City, apparently he'd missed two meetings yesterday.

Don't know any timeline Count, sorry mate.

As for the thread itself, let's not let the doom and gloom get to us aye? We've believd rumours before that weren't true.

Your all taking a journo who has been right on occasion that our two biggest stars are leaving, and that without even knowing if the club is going to get sold.

Let's try and look at this without the Mayan headwear.

Hungover and pulled a sickie?
lol, could be mate 😉

The World Cup hasn't even kicked off yet, and speculation/rumour is rife!

The best thing we can do is sort out the manager situation ASAP.

What I don't understand is, if that all happened, H&G wouldn't get the same money for the club when it was sold, surely?

Should be an exciting summer then.

I don't wanna miss a thing.

Haha..

If I tell you that there is a rumour out about Purslow and the people responsible of selling the club, meeting representives for Ambani that took place this morning.

Does that put a bit more positive spin on things? It certainly does for me. Broughton wouldn't have taken this job and risked his reputation if he didn't belive the club would get sold before the start of next season.

Torres, Gerrard and Mascher will most definetly wait a bit to see what happens re the owners, if not they're fucking thick..

I've seen that aswell Barry, apperantly the info is from a lad on another site who works for a company that has LFC TV as a customer.

Any idea is there a time period listed for the Bandwidth expansion?
It might give us an indication of when the sky will start to fall.

Fuck the Mayans.
They said we had more than another two years left.
at least if the world ends in two years the absolute worst would be 20-18 and 5-5 and us relgated for just 1 year.

Thanks Brendan. This thread has really cheered me up.

Why has this happened to us? Why not Utd? Have we not suffered enough shattered dreams and disillusionment in the last 20 years?

If this summer is even half as bad as some of these rumours are making out, it's going to be a long long time before we recover, if ever.

The end of Liverpool as we know it?

I basically see it as;

* the club is sold in the next two years (rather than the few months broughton was talking)
as the yanks are forced to drop their price lower and lower as our value decreses

* the stadium is started with a completion date of 2015

* the talented youngers we have been buying come to maturity

* liverpool begin their slow but steady rise up the league

He has a success rate of no better than 50:50; he knew about Maxi well early, but also said that Masher was deffo leaving *last* summer (for example), so while he passes on things in good faith, sometimes the situation changes, and sometimes he's ust plain wrong

But sometimes he is right

*shrugs*

None of it has happened yet!

Crikey O'Reilly
Then why am I so pissed off?

what a load of sensationalist bs! Seems like most people here would believe the earth was polo shaped if they read some pap journo's comments. Til i see proper quotes from the club i wont believe one jot of this hearsay and you shouldn't either. No one knows what will be going down because it probably has not even been sorted as of yet. Its just best guess journalistic rubbish

As I've said, it doesn't make sense for H&G to do this if they are selling, as they've just made the club less attractive to buy, or for an incoming buyer to do this. Until we have new owners this is speculative.

I'd say the Rafa going bit is right enough, and that players are considering their futures, so it has a degree of plausibility, but things are likely to change depending on the ownership situation, which, please God, is resolved soon.

You're a bit highly strung?
Great thread title btw.

Yeah, well, I know what time it is

(I've been listening to that CD *very* loud in my car a lot recently, which I would imagine makes me look an even bigger twat than usual)
