Well, no, he isn't, as I said earlier. Suarez wasn't doing that non stop. Costa is. Suarez resorted to that sort of thuggery when things weren't going his way. Costa resorts to it regardless of how things are going. It's quite shamelessly a chronic part of his game. And refs were on Suarez's case more or less immediately. With Costa it's as if refs have thought, if they judge him properly, they'll send him off every other game, so they just ignore it all.
 
I'd love him if he played for us. As I said when Suarez was here... we need more cheating bitey cunts on our team, not less.
 
This will hopefully start the process of turning the screws on him. Selfishly speaking, we want Costa to be around when Chelsea play the teams we're fighting against in the race for the remaining two CL berths. So maybe we can start reminding the press and the refs closer to our visit to Stamford Bridge for the away league tie in May. It'd be perfect payback if we got a result there that eventually sank their title challenge.

And if there's really anything wrong with his supposedly poor little 'fragile' hamstrings, which I thought meant he can barely play more than one game every ten days (I see the hacks have already forgotten that ludicrous story), he damn well hides it well.
 
Me and the Mrs discussed this last night.

I think Suarez at his worst was an astronomically bigger cunt than Costa, however Costa is a big cunt every week.
 
Well certainly Kant wouldn't have sent either one a Christmas card. But this 'Suarez could be a massive lout so we have no right to criticise Costa' argument is witless. Plenty criticised Suarez. He deserved it. Costa deserves it, too, even more so because his own thuggishness is constant. You'd get the impression that if Suarez could get past a defender fairly he'd do so happily. With Costa I get the feeling that even if he can glide past a player fairly he'd still prefer to (a) elbow them in the face, (b) dig him in the ribs or (c) rake his studs down the ankle. Suarez was infantile; Costa is a fully grown, fully sentient thug.

Yeah, it's his default setting. Suarez clearly lost control at times, but Costa is completely in control when he does this.
 
When I say Suarez Clone, I mean he's a proper wind up merchant, riles the opposition players and supporters. I'd love him at Anfield. He's fucking great.

Suarez is a much better footballer though.

I do have to admit Costa is a lot better than I first thought, but I still wouldn't want him in our team. I want to win, but I don't want to win this way.

If refs treated him as they treated Suarez, he'd already be emerging from at least one suspension and facing an even longer one. Costa may as well bring a flick knife on to the pitch with him, no one will notice.

I'd love Costa in our team. Yeah he's a thug but he's also a fantastic player.

Speaking of "poll", Graham Poll was on the radio just now saying that (a) not sending Henderson off for a second yellow was the worst decision Oliver made all night, and (b) decisions have been going unfairly against Costa this season - though TBF he did say he expects Costa now to get a ban.

This from a guy who gave the same player three yellows in one (World Cup) game, and still didn't send him off.
 
The good news is LFC are entitled to a free coffee after all the Costa stamps we received last night
