Congratulations Pepe.

I love Pepe so much and I genuinely believe him when he says how much he loves the club and city. I don't expect that these declarations mean he will be with us forever, if the club does not move forward as we all hope, but I sincerely hope that he would not join one of our rivals, much less United.

Even more than Torres or Xabi or Dirk or any other foreigner from Rafa's reign, Pepe has always come across as someone who would be there through thick and thin and who knows what it means to wear the colours. It's so hard to trust footballers' statements of loyalty in this day and age but I would be truly crushed if, when he eventually leaves, he betrays us. Not to mention I think he is one of the best two or three keepers in the world and completely irreplaceable.

Bollocks. Metro spinning tweets between Ben Smith (The Times) and Simon Clancey. I bet they added the Utd link just to make it seem more legit.

If Pepe did leave us, which I could understand, he is way too good of a person to go to United or Arsenal. I know I'm really asking for it when I say this, considering what just happened with El Judas, but I really can't see him fucking us like the Ladyboy. If he goes it will most likely be back to Spain somewhere.

It's 2+2=5 bollocks. Spaniards leave so that means he's gonna be unsettled and he'll go. Bollocks. And like we'd sell to the fucking scum anyway.

Yep, & TonyBarrett & Ben Smith both tweeted accusations of this too.

At the risk of incurring Themn's wrath, I firmly believe he will NEVER do to us what Torres did.

I don't think he will leave of his own accord, but I wouldnt dismiss it entirely..he might want to go home eventualy.

But he won't do to us what Torres did.

Yes, he has mouthed the same platitudes as Torres, and he has allowed the fans to take him in their hearts just as they did Torres.

But I think there's one vital difference, I feel...unlike Torres, Reina has taken the fans to his heart too..talk is cheap, but the way he acts and behaves around the fans is utterly brilliant..whilst it's possible that he 'gets' the club the same way Torres 'did'; I don't think so..you can't fake the way he geed up the fans in Singapore..you can't fake the kind of joy he had to meet the thousands waiting by the river to see their gods in the baking sun...you can't fake some of the emotion he had when we've scored vital goals..or him running up and jumping on somebody when we score..

I'll stick my neck out.

He gets us.

Themn, I'm thinking of you as Private Hudson...mostly.

Game over, man.

Talk is cheap, but I prefer to hope and believe 8)

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina believes that the club must now move on from Fernando Torres' departure and look ahead to the future.

The Spanish goalkeeper is preparing to face his international team-mate for the first time since Reina left Villarreal for Merseyside in 2005, after Torres' £50million move to Chelsea on transfer deadline day.

Torres is expected to make his debut as the Reds take on the Blues in what is sure to be a highly-charged match at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, with some Liverpool fans upset by comments made by the 26-year-old upon his exit.

Some felt betrayed by their former idol on the Kop, who took the decision to leave Anfield due to the transitional process taking place and his will to be in the mix to win trophies during the peak of his career.

Reina admitted that while the timing of Torres' departure was not the best, his desire to further his career had to be respected.

"He decided to leave because he thought it was an opportunity to keep growing as a player and we have to respect that," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"Some of the people are saying he's being disrespectful, with Liverpool, but all that Fernando gave to Liverpool was huge.

"He grew up as a Liverpool player and Liverpool has also grown as he's been a player on the team.

Business
"At the end of the day, it's daily business, players come and go. It's the club and supporters who are the most important thing for the club.

"
Fernando was great for us for three-and-a-half seasons, and we wish him all the best.

"I think he did everything for this club.

"He maybe didn't leave at the right time, but it was an opportunity for him and he left £50m in the bank which was double the price that he was."

Reina's side began the post-Torres era in positive fashion with a 2-0 victory over Stoke, with £22.8million capture Luis Suarez coming off the bench to score the second

The most expensive English player in history, Andy Carroll, was also in the crowd watching on as he waits for his return from injury.

"Liverpool will always attract good players because it's an historic club. It's one of the big four teams in England," Reina added.

"The people will always want to come here, that's clear."I hope for many more of the goals that Luis scored within 30 minutes of coming on on Wednesday. We have to welcome him, and Carroll as well."

I won't trust a player ever again.
That might be pushing it a bit but I will be a lot more doubtful and cynical of players professions of love for LFC and its's fans, including Pepe.

He'll join Man U in the summer.
No he won't.

The only player I trust is The Dirkilizer.

I hope the ones laughing in the face of Jinxy Jinxington never have to rue this thread.

There are fears that the continued Spanish exodus will see Reina follow Torres, Rafa Benitez and Xabi Alonso out of Anfield next summer.

But Reina, who has four-and-a-half years remaining on his contract, said: “Now Liverpool are no longer the Spanish Reds. It hurts a little, but life can be like this.

“I signed a deal and now my only desire is to be focused on the team and improving our situation
