Surprised how Bakayoko couldn’t really fit anywhere and is now back where he started. He looked a quality player at Monaco, there wasn’t much to choose between him and Fabinho. Maybe he’s not very coachable and that was his problem.

Some Monaco fans said Bakayoko's performances flattered to deceive, and the reason for his stand out season was playing next to our very own Fabinho.

Why do we only have one player on that list when everyone (i.e. other fans) knows we are buying the Prem?
The top 3 need some time to get used to the Prem to be successful 😉

Mikel Arteta - Arsenal (Head Coach)

[article]
We're delighted to announce Mikel Arteta is joining the club as our head coach on Sunday.

Mikel, a former club captain, played for us for five seasons from 2011 to 2016 and has signed a three-and-a-half year contract.

Mikel said: “This is a huge honour. Arsenal is one of the biggest clubs in the world. We need to be competing for the top trophies in the game and that’s been made very clear to me in my discussions with Stan and Josh Kroenke, and the senior people from the club.

“We all know there is a lot of work to be done to achieve that but I am confident we’ll do it. I’m realistic enough to know it won’t happen overnight but the current squad has plenty of talent and there is a great pipeline of young players coming through from the academy.”

Mikel’s coaching team will be announced as soon as possible.

Josh Kroenke, speaking on behalf of the Arsenal board and our owners Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing Mikel back to Arsenal. He knows our expectations and those of our fans around the world are high and we are confident he can play a lead role in taking the club back to the levels we all demand.

“I also want to thank Freddie Ljungberg for skilfully guiding us through the last three weeks. He stepped up at short notice and has helped us through this difficult period with great professionalism.”

Head of football Raul Sanllehi said: “We met several top-class candidates and Mikel stood out to every single one of us as the perfect person for us. Mikel understands Arsenal Football Club and what it means to our fans around the world. We look forward to him getting down to work and bringing the best out of our squad as we work to get our season back on track.

“I must also pay tribute to Freddie Ljungberg for his hard work and leadership. Together with Per Mertesacker, he has done a vital job for us in difficult circumstances. Freddie and Per are important parts of the Arsenal family and care deeply for this club.”

Abelardo Fernandez - Espanyol (Head Coach)

[article]Abelardo Fernandez has been appointed as Espanyol's head coach on a deal until the end of the season.

The former Sporting Gijon and Alaves boss is Los Periquitos' third coach of the season, with both David Gallego and Pablo Machin having been dismissed.

That same afternoon, Abelardo will be presented at 16:00 CET in the Juan Segura Palomares auditorium.

The challenge for Abelardo is huge as Espanyol are currently five points off salvation in LaLiga Santander, but saying that, the 49-year-old is an expert in these matters as he managed to save Sporting and Alaves in a situation very similar to the one of the Catalan side are going through.[/article]

Zlatan Ibrahimović - AC Milan (free transfer)

Zlatan is what, 38? Great player, but Milan is a laughingstock with their transfers in recent years. Signing a player AFTER the MLS semi-retirement says it all.

The funny thing is that Zlatan will still probably improve their forward line - even if he has to play with a walking stick.

Not sure why too. Maybe to add 'character' in the dressing room.

They have scored 1 goal lesser than the no. of games played. They made so many striker signings over these 2 seasons - Rafael Leao (€35 million), Ante Rebic (loan with option to buy for €25 million), Krzysztof Piatek (€35 million). Think the issue of scoring goals is more about system though
