aren't they already getting stick from boston fans for buying us and supposedly not showing as much interest in them ? prob wouldn't go down too well if they missed something huge over there .
are they going to sack their DOB as a concequence? seems only fair...

They started last season the same way. And sacked their manager and allowed the GM to leave for another job.

No games are 'important' so early on in the regular season ... The most important games in their history were when they beat the Skankees after being down 3-1 (or was it 3-0 Ross?) and then winning the W.S. Regular season games THIS early on, as the Sox proved last season (!!), mean nada.

Wrong on so many levels.
that transfer budget sounds about right, with sales to top it up.
the sales I want to see are;
adam - can't stand him
cole - massive wages
aqua - will be gone when he plays his qota of games
aurelio - out of contract
kuyt - massive wages.
it's a pity we can't take that transfer budget and go and purchase javi martinez because that is the signing we need to kick on.
I hate to do it but I'd add Maxi to that list as well. His contract ends next year, we'll be able to get something for him this summer.
javi martinez is is who we need to kick on. I personally think we have the attacking players to hurt teams but lack the platform of stability and drive through the middle of the park. we do that and gerrard, suarez and carroll will hit double figures. if it were up to me that is where I would blow the 20-30m
erm, hence the reason I want javi martinez. you'd then have a 4-3-3 with the front 3 being gerrard, suarez and carroll. the last player in the midfield 3 would be maxi, downing, bellamy, raheem or someone new. currently our central midfield is costing us points and focusing on the missed chances is missing the woods for the trees. let's buy defoe or bent, that will sort our problems out.
