I want Rafa back, so we buy fancy foreign players. Players called Henderson and Adam don't inspire me.

Man City - £133m (£83m)
Man Utd - £132m (£123m)

2008-09 wage bills in brackets
"Liverpool, which had the fourth largest wage bill at £121m, £10m more than Arsenal and £41m more than the next highest spender, Aston Villa. "
he is already rubbing hishandsface at the prospect.

It's not about a new man knowing who he doesn't want, it's about him knowing who he wants to take with him.
I would happily have Riera, Babel, Sissoko and Aquilani in the squad right now.
Or fancy foreign players like Mascherano, Reina, Torres, Skrtel, Agger, Garcia, Alonso, Arbeloa
How on earth did this Dr get such power over team selection ...surely all it would take was a "no , you don't pick the team " to put him in place . I very much doubt he had a contract that stated he had this power .And i'm sure kenny is big eough to ignore him if he wants .
And apart from kenny saying he chose the players and comolli got them , if he didn't know himself about their quality then i do worry ...fuck most here knew they wouldn't be any good or fit in .
I'd rather get years of service from players rather than burn them out. He got agger to play a lot this year.
You could be bang on the money there.I like Laudrup but he'll surely want a job as manager.
Clearly he wasn't picking the team, but excluding players who would have been deemed a serious risk to injure themselves if they played because of their current condition.
Torres will have been on HUGE cash mind you, Cole too and a proportion of his wages will be paid elsewhere, Aquilani also... Jovanovic was a big earner gone etc... I doubt we are anywhere near the wage bill of city. In fact although i can no longer find the article i did read a pretty in depth one in the broadsheets tpwards the start of the season which outlined how we had slashed the wage bill..... im not sure which one to believe but all i will say is it wasn't in the fucking daily mirror.
that's a good thing, right?
