This might have been mentioned, I've not been able to get on here much of late, but I heard a few days back that City reported Rafa is looking to offload the following players at said prices (Rafa said he wants to sell FOUR players):

Aquilani (£15m)
Babel (10m)
N'Gog (10m)!!

Someone else too, can't remember right now though, might have been Yossi or Insua(?).

Is this common knowledge? I know we could have guessed about Babel, and N'Gog is easily a saleable player (though not at that price!), but anyway..

It was in an article recently, can't remember where.

Who is going to buy those players for that sort of money ?

Hadn't heard that. 10m what for Wash? Not pounds surely?

[/quote]

Yeah that's a bit steep to say the least, unless it's just Rafa being stubborn and trying to tell everyone how good a player he really is. He's done a job occasionally, but no way worth £10m.

I think we had our chance with Babel and lost it, though I think an Italian club would pay that for Aquilani.

All the Italian clubs know him, and very few of them have any money.

We'll either take a massive hit on him or keep him.

If he was such a good player, why would Rafa be trying to sell him? For the price we're likely to get for Wash (£3-4m?) I'd rather keep him as a third- or fourth-choice striker.

Depends how much we need. I suppose a side coming up or a mid to low table side might punt about £5m for him.

True, I'd rather keep him than make a massive loss, I still think he looks a player anyway, allbeit a glass one.

We'd certainly be better off waiting for him to have a good season before offloading him.

Ooooh, Radio City !

Hello, we aren't all privy to this Scouse short-hand jargon !

Par, blud *shrugs*.

Tsk. Even the paddy got it.

We'd be better off loaning N'Gog somewhere and hoping he has a good season. City paid 20M for the useless Jo after he was banging goals in for CSKA in the Russian league.

Wool bumbaclaat.

We may as well keep Aqua as the money we'd get for him would be soul destrying considering what we paid. I'd guess 12 mil at most, even that would make me question the sanity of whoever was buying him.
Babel 6 or 7 mil (not worth that) unless some loony comes in or he scores a couple off his shins in the WC. NGog 2 or 3 mil.

That's probably all about right, though the stupidity of some managers/clubs never ceases to amaze me.

Fuck that. Take the £12m quick and pack the Shithouse back off to his Mama. If Juve are stupid enough to take him, great.

Say what you like about Rafa, but he has always done well getting good value for money when selling. One thing that GH failed at big time.

So all the fuck-ups when negotiating the purchase of players are nothing to do with Benitez (including the fact that he's bought some fucking shit players regardless of price), however, when they're sold for a decent price, it's down to him.

There aren't many more we can add to that list.

So get him a job at some traders office. We need players to come in and carry this club towards new heights, not to be shipped out for decent value?
