It's standard fare for China. Local governance outside the large cities is third world. It's pretty much accepted by anyone studying figures coming out of China that the figures are 'inaccurate'. With manufacturing figures imagine how difficult it is to ascertain correct data. There are around 40 million registered companies in China, never mind the many millions of individuals or small companies that don't register and whose data is never compiled. A lot of guesswork is undertaken by Central Govt. when collating figures.

In neither Wenzhou nor Shanghai are there any problems with food supplies. Walmart was packed with fruit and vegetables in Wenzhou. Whilst on arriving in Shanghai we bought Milk and eggs etc. and my wife ordered other supplies on line for delivery tomorrow. No issues at all - All is good. No issues. Many thumbs up!
