It takes about a week to see the affects of social distancing. See this video I posted earlier:
But yeah, there's a lot of idiots not doing it.

I wouldn't go as far as awful but yeah it's not great. In Prague you can can excellent food but, as you mention, only if you're indulging in the foreign cuisine. Even the food in the supermarkets is of lower quality!Great food in the Czech Republic? Hahaha
Unless you're eating foreign cuisine, it's fucking awful
When I was last in Prague in the early 90s they served me some sort of weird dumplings. They were rather bland.

Were you shitting yourself at the time?
They truly are lovely people, I knew I'd love it over here (I had visited Czech 3 or 4 times a year for 14 years prior to moving) but couldn't have imagined it would be THIS good. I had 28 great years in Britain and will always love the country and people but (sadly in a way) I don't miss it.My wife's two largest clients are from Czech and Mexico. Last year we went to Prague where the owner & his wife met us and drove us out to his hometown (they had both visited China a few times but this was our first trip to the Czech R.) and showed us around his home (as you described - huge and gorgeous) and offices. They pulled out all the stops, we had a great time and some awesome meals in great restaurants. Lovely people.
Haha. I used to do a lot of underwater photography when younger and the Frogfish was one of my favourite subjects. Called the frogfish because it walks on its fins and makes little jumps.Nah. If that were to follow, what's one to make of your username? 😛
That would be the MSG. Next time ask for it without.Chinese food in Liverpool is pretty much all gash. Sticky sugary salty shite. No matter what you get it all tastes dead similar and somehow gives you a hangover. However, there's this little Hong Kong cafe down the end of our street that only opens 10 til 3 Monday to Friday and they only have a few things on the menu and they're all boss.
People often say Chinese food is healthy but actually not so much .... for a start it's all fried and a lot of it deep fried. Then there's a lot of salt and sugar added to virtually every dish along with the MSG. And of course with China being such a vast country every region is different. Personally I like Cantonese (the HK version) and Sichuanese (the spicy stuff) the best. Shanghainese is one of the worst - the sugar overload even in savoury dishes is awful.Chinese food is only Chinese food in China. It's actually healthy there, that is, after the horrible food poisoning.
Sacrilege !The Czech's love of their dumplings is as confounding as the Brits love of their Yorkshire Pudding, both are incredibly bland and only as good as the gravy/sauce that you mop it up with.
True. I love living in China (and it's easy to get from there all over Asia & South Pacific) despite all it's warts, Shanghai is incredible, and there is little I miss from the UK (internet speeds, chocolate and football) but we come back at least annually because my daughter and parents live there. They truly are lovely people, I knew I'd love it over here (I had visited Czech 3 or 4 times a year for 14 years prior to moving) but couldn't have imagined it would be THIS good. 800 dead in Italy today, seems significant and fucking frightening.
That's us in a week or two.
I think the reason for that can be explained by this:

This virus has a far better success rate with the elderly ... if it's allowed to spread, as it did in Italy, then its chances to cause damage increase (esp as the hospitals struggle to deal with more folk).
As FYI, UK is on the list:

I highly doubt it. I was just studying the figures for Italy and despite nearly 5,000 deaths they have had only 17 people under the age of 50 die - and all those that died under the age of 40 had serious underlying health issues. In fact of all deaths only 3 people had no other illness whilst over 74% had 2 or more (75% high blood pressure, 35% diabetes and 33% heart disease). The average age of all deaths being 80 years old.800 dead in Italy today, seems significant and fucking frightening.

Yeah my wife uses a steamer a lot for veggies and rice. That said we used to own two Chinese restaurants in Austria (selling more typical 'real' Chinese food) and the vast majority of dishes were stir fried or deep fried.I ate a ton of steamed food in China, and lots of green vegetables.
I also lost about 10 pounds out the other end.
Italy threatening to do just that. 50,000 fined so far for breaking quarantine and it seems town mayors are going nuts as people sunbathe and picnic in the parks !Just get the army on the streets to deal with any thick selfish knobheads who can’t follow instruction

Haha yeah Martial law. Or is it Martian’s.Hang on, Italy don't have military on the streets already?!
Nearly 800 people died in the last 24 hours!
As a very left wing man, this is hard for me to say, but FFS, if there's any time to bring in martial law, this is fucking it. (as an aside, please tell me it's martial law, not 'Marshall law' as people keep quoting).
