Chinese "Devil Virus" - anyone worried?

I never said testing will decrease. False positives will decrease.

None of which answered the question I asked, can the PCR test that has been used for the last 18 months distinguish between flu and covid ?

Oh, I see. That's even more mental.

The answer is yes, it can! But let's examine the premise, you think there's a seasonal flu epidemic going on amongst the young in the uk, that is being falsely flagged as covid. This in the summer, after one of the quietest flu seasons in recorded history? Tens of thousands of false positives from flu. In the young. In the summer.

Yippee - farewell lockdown 5.

Wonder how long before the next one.

Sydney still fucked.

Just 44% of covid hospitalisations in the UK tested positive before admission.

The whole thing is fucking crooked.

Nope.... Its amazing how wrong you get everything

Did the others test negative, or just not have a test? Seems normal that diagnosis would happen in a hospital, right?

The article is behind a paywall on the Telegraph. But they were coming in with other ailments, according to what I can glean from the article intro, then going down as covid hospitalisations. It's coming from leaked info, apparently.

[article]
In the memory phase of an immune response, B and T cells that are specific for a virus are maintained in a state of dormancy, but are poised to spring into action if they encounter the virus again or a vaccine that represents it.
[/article]

The long-term immunity is pretty pointless if the virus has sufficiently changed. Being vaccinated might then be a bad place to be. The memory phase cells you would have created will be tailored to the protein instead of the entire virus. Meanwhile an anti-vax scumbag who developed immunity by getting infected will have memory phase cells that will serve him well in the face of mutations.

To what end?

Money. Your governments actual one job is to slow the economy when it grows too fast and stimulate it when it fails. Stability. Their evil globalist corruption has exhausted their normal tools for doing so (using interest rates and money supply to persuade people to spend or save like controlled drones). They broke it. The next step is violent revolt and wealth redistribution.

They have averted or delayed their doom with covid. It's just another tool they can use to regain control over spending and saving. Alas this tool is also close to breaking after a single use, I suspect the people will not be denied their revolt. Tick tock.

To what end?

Well, the NHS have just got 92 billion for it. The pharmaceutical companies will get billions every few months if they keep hamming up the need for a vaccine. I also think some of it is organic in the sense that people in power and scientists have fucked up, and as we've seen these days, you're not allowed to backtrack and admit fault in anything. It's taken on a bit of a life of its own and been blown massively out of proportion. A select few rich people have gotten richer out of it, the media are benefiting from much higher figures. It's a perfect storm really.

Government cronies handing out billions worth of contracts to their mates to supply PPE etc...

Youre dangerously in tin foil hat mentalist territory here

It's scary that pointing out the possibility of high ranking officials who orchestrate billion dollar deals acting immorally is considered tinfoil hat territory

Pharmaceutical companies have shown numerous times to not be exactly trustworthy. Scientists can be corrupted, push agendas that will result in them receiving more funding and backing.

It's the same logic that suggest the government are looking out for us. Of course they're not. They're looking out for themselves.

No, what’s scary is the growing movement of covid deniers.

in the earlier days of waves 1 & 2, it was very common that people in hospital for non-covid reasons would catch it. Those with mild cases even then couldn’t be discharged til they tested negatively which caused a growing mass of people who were infectious.

*purely anecdotal based on the hospital my gf works at - but outbreaks in “clean wards” was common and initiatives to discharge anyone who was negative and ‘not about to die’ were attempted frequently

It's hilarious. Were there a movement of particle mechanics deniers, I would be ashamed of myself if they endured even a moment longer than I willed it. Medical science seems to have no such shame, or rather they themselves are every bit as blindingly thick as the deniers are. You just take their side because of what essentially just boils down to a woke virtue signal.
