Not good. A lot of unvaccinated kids it can run through.
But must be over 70% immunity in the population by now so will be interesting if it can get a hold. I think you'll be ok.

Next Tuesday I'm due to visit the special school where I'm Safeguarding governor. For obvious reasons it's been a very long time since I was in school so I can't put it off now (and don't really want to), plus we've been really hot on making the school Covid-safe meanwhile, but I can't help feeling a trifle wary.
I'm not sure how you can make a school 'covid-safe' ! Children being children they are going to interact. Whether that's on the way to / going home from school or in washrooms, corridors, classrooms when the teachers aren't directly supervising etc. etc. Seems pretty much impossible to me.
Well, "Covid-safe" is bound to be a relative term, but then that's the case wherever you go. It's actually somewhat easier for us than it would be in mainstream because we're a special school for kids with moderate to severe learning difficulties, a good few of whom also have physical limitations of one kind or another, so we're heavily staffed by comparison with mainstream schools and our premises are purpose-built (wide corridors to accommodate wheelchairs etc).

I had mine on Friday. Been extremely lucky with only a sore arm both times.
So the one town is in "corona mode' (masks etc) while the rest of the country is carrying on as normal.
What's interesting is the Health Ministry is saying CHILL the fuck out, it's fine but it seems our major cock up was allowing tons of people in here without proper screening.

You mean the head of the funding body which wired the monies to the lab, that the scientist? What possible basis do you have to think he would would cover up a leak from the same lab? These are professional people with integrity. If he couldn't find evidence of a leak, it means there was no leak. It was a pangolin.
