But that's probably just a massive coincidence and has nothing to do with why Zuck and Fauci were text buddies.

Listened to an interesting podcast with some expert in synthetic biology the other day and he was on about with all the ongoing advances in machine learning, pretty much any mad bastard will be able to make absolute baller pathogens in their shed soon, so we're all dead soon anyway.
When machine learning reaches its zenith, humans will be making queries like

In the last 14 days 128 people have died within 28 days of contracting CV19 in the UK. swings and roundabouts this data stuff, maybe of the 128 some passed away with some other issue while maybe a few died from covid having contracted it more than 28 days ago.
Either way, that like 9 people a day?
The data from Israel above also sounds pretty decent, 244 with covid just 2 in hospital.
If this is correct then I feel like we're at a point where we can at least keep things going as they are. For me at least restrictions are limited, if people want to go abroad then crack on the PCR tests. Otherwise keep things open, encourage mask wearing in public, washing hands and all that whatever else.

Were going back to masks indoors next week ...people are very nervous but I think based on data, unless something pops up, things should pass with far less damage to people's lives and livelihood
I'm with Dantes and Rosco now. Yeah some people are doomed but they were probs doomed anyways and at what cost to everyone else? I've had my vaccines, the whole family made ppe 24/7 with 12 3D printers we bought off Amazon when this shit kicked off, and a competent response from western govt would have seen us out of this shit by last summer. Now I've lost pretty much everything apart from my family and friends because every policy has been skewed towards big business. I don't even know how I'm going to start again. I don't even want to.
