Dude from the FDA saying that although the US is testing 50,000+ new positive cases a day, the real number is likely ten times that. That seems high.

Only Trump could have created a situation where the country he built his election on keeping out of the US, have now decided that they want to keep US residents out of Mexico.
I don't know for certain, but I have faith in Big D. As a scientist, I'd split the factors up into features of the human and features of the virus. For humans, there is an absolute percentage of people biologically vulnerable to death thanks to whatever features biologists think are important. All things being equal, they're all going to die sooner or later, either in a quick wave, or a gradual trickle. Pray I am not amongst them. For the virus factors, there is also an absolute percentage of strains that will result in certain death, again pray I am not exposed to it.
I would guess that in their idiocy, not wearing masks, never respecting lock downs, believing jesus and guns will protect them, carrying on shoving their tongues down each others throats as an unnecessary sign of affection when words sent electronically from a safe distance would suffice, the morons have allowed the milder mutations of the virus to spread and dominate the bad one. So that might end up saving them. In the UK, by locking down for three months, we've eliminated the mild strain, and all that is left is the bad strains in hospitals and in NHS staff. Those staff will send their kids to school with other kids, and go to the pub, and the UK death rate might go up, not down. I only care that I live at this point.
So I guess I'll be moving to North Korea, the Big D is dead long live Big K.

The Mayor of Austin, Texas has warned that hospitals in the city could be “overrun” within two weeks if cases continue increasing at the current rate.
Speaking on CNN’s State of the Union, Steve Adler warned that places in intensive care could possibly fill up within 10 days.
“If we don’t change the trajectory, we are within two weeks of having our hospitals overrun,” he said.
The number of Covid-19 patients currently hospitalised in Texas has risen to 7,890, up from 3,247 two weeks ago.
In the first four days of July, 15 US states have reported record increases in new cases of the virus which has infected nearly three million Americans and killed almost 130,000 people.
