We were unlucky not to beat City and could have scraped a draw here. Luck not with us when we needed it. However, 6 points off the top with a +21 GD and 6 of the Top 8 yet to come to Anfield. Who would not have taken that at the beginning of the season ? The fact we are competitive with every team in the league .... and expect to beat them .... says it all.

I think we can be forgiven for hitting a brickwall over Christmas. A thin squad was always going to show it's weakness at some point, especially when we've got two big injuries (three now) to deal with. It was a poor first half that cost us, too many passengers like Johnson, not pulling their weight.
