Wow What a terrific start to the season.

7 points from 9 against Chelsea arse and Spurs. 6 points against arse and Chelsea...

Holy Christ - Burnley can have their win! Wihoo.

Lallana was sensational in the first half and off the pace big time in the second .

Unless Sturridge was injured he should have stayed on .

Matip looks very good and lovren was very composed throughout , coutinho with some tidy touches but quiet , mane and clyne did well to nullify azpi and hazard.

Good win , happy days !

Between now and Christmas the only game against a top 6 side from last year is against United.

We have a lot of those fixtures we always lose.
Big couple of months now

Ive probably been a bit hard on Mane and Coutinho to be fair.
They did little going forward but worked their balls off.

That three in Midfield (Lallana, Wijnaldum and Henderson) is so fucking hard working. Really chuffed for them

Atkinson was terrible, Coutinho is a dick for letting that chance to get rid of him slip away.

Aside from the "Lucas in unnecessary foul on edge of the box" shocker that was very satisfactory

What? I thought the ref was brilliant tonight. He let loads go and stopped the Chelsea cunts diving

Missed the handball, gave them that free kick at the end, didn't give us a free kick because we "had the ball", tackled Coutinho, and let Ivanovic stamp on Lallana.

I like Lucas as a bloke and he has a good attitude. The big problem I have with him is that he can't tackle, which seems a bit of a handicap in a defensive midfielder. He sticks his leg out and trips opponents up which is something you normally only see in pub football.

Yeah, the ref was good tonight. Could have booked a few Chelsea players but whatever.

Mignolet – 6.0. Injected needless nervousness with the ball at his feet, other parts of his game were OK though. Still doesn't look like he's going to keep Karius on the bench for much longer.
Clyne – 6.5. Had to be very disciplined and alert to keep Hazard quiet, did what he had to do.
Matip – 7.5. Almost a perfect performance, great calmness and leadership and his heading ability also makes me feel much calmer about set pieces and high balls into our penalty area. You could argue if he went to ground too early for the goal, it's debatable – I think the far bigger mistake was Hendo and Lallana not tracking the run of Matic.
Lovren – 8.0. Great goal and faultless defending.
Milner – 6.5. Willian and others certainly tested him and at times his wrong-footedness was exposed as a weakness when he allowed several dangerous crosses from his flank. He did his best though and was very good in all other parts of the game.
Henderson – 7.5. +.5 for the amazing goal, -.5 for not tracking Matic. A captain's performance.
Wijnaldum – 7.0, His best game for LFC so far – the passing in the first half was incredibly sharp and incisive and he almost never lost the ball. Got some kind of injury in the 2nd half, but played through it, until he was substituted.
Mane – 7.0. The usual pace and work-rate, but no decisive moment for him today.
Coutinho – 7.0. Good performance overall and added an assist, but like Lallana he needs to learn not to lose the ball in dangerous areas. I really like that he is starting to come deeper more, I think it might be a precursor to him moving to CM some time this season.
Lallana – 7.5. Superb energy and invention throughout.
Sturridge – 7.0. Looked in the mood in the first half, but got some kind of physical issue in the 2nd which prevented him from making sprints and led to the substitution.

SUBS:
Origi 6.0 Can I just take issue with @manwithnoname's post in the match thread? Origi is a young player who won the crucial Dortmund game for us last season and scored other important goals – he doesn't deserve the venom directed towards him. Could have won the game for us, except for a phenomenal save by Courtois – I can't remember the last time I saw a goalkeeper save a header down low.
Lucas 6.0. Gave up his usual free kick on the edge of the area. Apart from that OK.
Stewart n/a

Klopp 8.0. I think his options were somewhat limited by the absence of Firmino - we really missed his energy and quality in the 2nd half. I think if Firmino was playing the scoreline would likely be 3:1 or 4:1. But still Klopp's game plan worked for most of the game, you could see by Conte's reaction in the post-game interview that he was a bit in denial about what happened in the first half - typical of a manager whose plan didn't work at all. He was fuming and said he will need to do a lot of "contemplation" on this game. Unlike Klopp he clearly doesn't feel this is "his" team yet and that was probably the biggest difference.

The negativity towards Origi is just weird.
Very talented player. And a young lad aswell.

The Sky coverage is great, but I some ways it is a bit odd when you have Henry, Souness and Carragher critiquing

It's easy to spot mistakes or where there has to be improvements when you have three of the best players in their respective positions to have ever played in the this league

I know that's what expert pundits are for, but when Souness points out errors by Kante or whoever, I can't help thinking 'yeah, that's easy for you to say Graeme, but you're one of the greatest midfield players in LFC history. I know you wouldn't have done that, but for fucks sake'
