Champions League, what would it take?

Not going to happen.

Would be wonderful to see Chelsea fail to get top 4 and that is possible; in fact I suspect Chelsea, City and Arsenal will falter a little going forward in the league. That said we won't catch two of they (and Spurs) so top 4 is gone.

Top six is definitely on and I expect that TBH. Next season (for the thousandth time in the last 9 years) is a huge one for us.

It's not going to happen sadly.

Everything can happen in the world of football but this is by far looking the most likely scenario almost even if we won all of our remaning games.

That said with the Chavs playing United twice and Citeh not to familiar with prolonged good runs there's still a faint hope.

All we can do is win our games. And then we'll see what happens. A win tonight followed up by a win come Sunday would be a good start.

This. If, as Kenny has said,
associated to this great club pulls together.

*glares at themn*

it is highly unlikely that over our remaining 14 games we will average nearly a point better than Chelsea, not imposiible but highly highly unlikely....

nah i dont see it myself...

it would be sweet however if Spurs jumped over them... that would be nice....

Sadly we left it too long to dispose of GnH and then Hodgson...

All this aside it is important for us to play well in our remaining games, we need to go into the next season having shown some good form and consistency ( in a positive way!!)

if we won our remaining games we'd DEFINATELY make the CL but we patently are not going to do that.

A miracle?
A massive collapse by all the clubs ahead of us in the table?
Is it do-able?

24 games in, 14 to play. 42 points on the line.

Chelsea are 4th, 9 points ahead of us with one game in hand. Can they drop 12 points in 15 games?

But more importantly how many points, do we have to get? 42?

I'll say this, 42 points, winning every remaining game this season, will get us to the CL.

The chance of that? If we win tomorrow and against Chelsea on Sunday. I think we can go all the way.

Why do I want Champions League next season? Because I really want the new Liverpool to take Europe and England by storm. Dalglish has really made me believe in the team.
