Could someone tell me if i'm just bias. The commentators are going on about how Spurs have been the better side, and it's true they've dominated possession, but they've created hardly any chances, Juve have had many more infact, it reminds me of so many of our performances under Rodgers, I don't get it.

Has to be said that Dembele is one of the most underrated midfielders of the last decade in the premier league, phenomenal player.

No, you have a point – I don't know what the British commentators are saying, but wouldn't be surprised if they are overstating the extent of Spurs' dominance. It's been roughly even in terms of chances (Spurs had more shots in the 2nd half), but it's been jarring how much territory Spurs are allowed to control in Turin, the home crowd has been quieted after a raucous start and increasingly frustrated by what they see.

I'm pleased for Spurs. I am happy to support English clubs in Europe, apart from Manchester United of course;.

I think wanting other English clubs to lose in the hope that Liverpool have the monopoly of European glory is misguided. If English clubs fail consistently, UEFA will cut the number of places in the Champions League for Premier League clubs.

That was only under threat when we were total bollocks the last few years. 5 sides in the last 16 will have ended those possibilities. Fuck all the rest. City are obv going to win it and I'm going to moan like a bitch for weeks.

If Juve needed 0-0 I think Spurs were up for a rough nite at Wembley.... however this result is very strong for them.

As 3-3 away in Seville would be considered a strong result in Europe 🤓

Spurs will count themselves lucky - they really should have lost that game. Higuain doesn't miss the penalty, and game over.

  • Eriksen and Dembele bossed that game - Juve were ok with that, and waited to attack them on the counter.
  • Eriksen is not 'Iniesta' though - he's yet to show he can be a player who's key on a 'winning squad'
  • Kane dove yet again ... Will his reputation ever be like Alli's?
  • Buffon was poor on Eriksen's goal ...
  • Is the Alli of this year the 'real' Alli or is it the one from last year?

More to come from that tie, although I expect Spurs to go through.

Basel are wank, no business in this stage of the comp, devalues the format.

Spurs defo through, as I said. Two away goals, not to mention the customary Italian capitulation in England in the return leg.

That's a magnificent performance from Spurs really.

2-nil down in Turin against a top side, and they turned it around. They actually dominated Juventus too.

I didn't think they had it in them. We'd have been quick to have declared them at being caught out at the top level if Juve had have carried on at 2-0 and drubbed them, so gotta recognise their turnaround. I didn't think this Spurs side had that mentality. Quality sure - Kane, Dembele, Eriksen, Vertonghen, etc... They're all quality players - guess this show they have a level of balls too.

If I was a betting man, I'd throw a few quid on Spurs to win the whole thing. If they keep this form up, and get a couple of draws that suit them, they could well go the whole way. The bastards.

In strong contrast to the tactical genious with the world most expensive squad who declared their game lost when Eriksen scored at Wembley after 10 second. Because that meant Spurs could play the game they wanted...

I really hope not, that would suck the joy right out of football. Listening to their fans going on about being CL champions, fuck that.

An excellent performance from Spurs against a Juve team decimated by injury. Juve didn't look themselves because they weren't.

Nah, almost no chance, I recon. Lack of strength in depth and Pochettino tactical predictability will be thee undoing. I predicted they will eliminate the weakened Juve and I think they will, but at think they will fall at the first test against a truly top-tier team.

They also beat Real though, convincingly. I agree mind you dont think they have the squad to go all the way but they can probably on their day beat them all.

Spurs have learnt when to and how to keep the ball as we also found out. I think they will be a tough opponent for any team. Their pass and move is probably more effective than most other teams - I reckon we will suffer proper 2nd half capitulation in some of the games we have to play this season because our lot dont know how to keep that ball moving around midfield.

As can we.

In fact I'd say that's our very definition. On our day we can beat any side, domestic or otherwise.

Very much so. I don't think we are without chances ourselves. In fact I don't think there's much between us an Spurs really and most teams would fear both sides especially in a cup tournament.

I see the despicable diving pricks were at it again last night, Ali and Kane, one in each half and then Lamella too (again).

I despise that team, I don't give a fuck who plays for them. We've got a load of English players playing for them who might do well for our National team in the Summer, but they're just a gang of pricks who've taken over the United mantle from years ago, of cheating their way to points. I hope Juve shaft them everywhere at Wembley and kick ten tonnes of shite out of them in the process, bit of karma for the feigned injuries they "suffer" every week.

I still can't get past Lamella jumping up the other week when he thought he'd got the decision, only to dive back on the floor again when it seemed in doubt.

Crash and burn in both competitions please.

And Kris, I can't believe you so blatantly champion Spurs on here, because of Eriksen, or how much you overhype him. He's a good player, but Christ, he's not the second coming. If he didn't play for them you wouldn't give a fuck about Spurs.

He's a prick anyway, for the shite he came out with about us in the press after he signed for Spurs and then again before one of his first games against us (in which he was utter shit anyway).

He suits them because he's a total bellend.

I have recently put a fair amount of money on Liverpool to win the Champions League at 14/1. I can see parallels with 2005 when Liverpool weren't being considered as potential winners at this stage.

Suarez, when with us, was worse at this than every current spurs player combined.
