Dont trust any woman who is arsed about valentines day
Bex isn't really, we get each other a card, I get her roses & she buys me some dark chocolate. Same every year, no overblown sentimentality or spending loads of cash.

Doesn't mean she won't moan that I'm watching it though, despite the fact if I weren't we wouldn't be doing anything.

For our top 4 chances it might be better if Spurs don't get knocked out too early.

Indeed, but Spurs will finish in the top 4 regardless I reckon. Chelsea and Arsenal look the most likely to drop out at this stage

Arsenal definitely, but I dunno... Chelsea might find a bit of form in the run in

So, hands up who is gonna be in the dog house thanks to this being on valentines night?

*puts hand up*

I leave town for some work stuff, but told my wife that it's good on her as she don' t have to sit through a boring dinner with me while all she can think of is the game. Didn't seem to comfort her.

Spurs beating Juve? No chance for the overrated, bottling cunts.

Tottenham's recent European record
2014-15 Europa League last 32
2015-16 Europa League last 16
2016-17 Champions League group stage, Europa League last 32

I think Spurs are favorites; their first 11 simply got more quality than this Juve team and collectively they seem to have outgrown their European jitters. Juve's trump card is Dybala, but he's doubtful for the first leg. If he's fit I feel he's the only player who could tip the balance in Juve's favor.

I hadn't seen it until now but their CL squad has a number of those top players missing - absent with long term injuries.

Juve has a good squad, I'm surprised people are saying it's spurs cut and dried

They've conceded ONE goal in their last 16 matches including Barcelona, Napoli, Inter and Roma. It's not going to be easy but I doubt they face someone of Kane's ilk very often and certainly not of his quality and in shit-hot form. He's Spurs' Joker. No way is it going to be easy though. Fascinating match.

Wenger might be right. The English players seem to be the masters of diving now.

Ironic that in Europe (where referee usually allow it) he gets told to get up. But in the PL, where referees are supposedly more lenient on tough tackling, he gets a soft pen.

Wenger's talking through his hole. English players are "better" at it than they were, but the idea that they're worse offenders than the rest is hooey. On the contrary, if there's a difference with the referees I suspect it's because European refs are better at spotting diving, and that's because they're more accustomed to seeing it.

As far as Kane getting preferential treatment is concerned, being England's captain and centre-forward doesn't hurt. It defo helped Shearer in his day.
