United’s team looking piss-weak. McTominay, Herrera, Lindelof and Smalling at the back? Martial, Bailly and and Pogba only on the bench.

Are these scum cunts gonna be jammy forever? Up against it and we all know how this will end!

What a difference having a World Class keeper makes. De gea rescuing United again while we dream of an oblank

DDG pulling out his usual heroics to save United again.

Actually, on 2nd look, it's more piss poor finishing making him look great.

To be fair, he's in goal to "save" them. That's what they pay him for. Every shot has been straight at him. He's done what you'd expect any good GK to do.

Just a shame he didn't let in that howler with Lindelof, which we could all have chuckled at.

I don't want to see them remotely near a CL final. I actually would prefer they didn't make CL at all....

I really like what you have said. I also don't want to face them as their jammyness has no bounds it seems and they could beat us if we meet them on our way to the CL final this year, its just so wrong. I wanted Seville to do them bad tonight but I think they will find them as tricky as themselves at home. Have to say that Seville impress me the way they keep the ball and move it around - reminds me of Spurs currently. I hope we don't have to face them again though.

Pundits all seem to assume that United will play a totally different game at Old Trafford and are almost praising Mourinho for a “pragmatic away performance.” All I saw was a weak and disjointed United team that was utterly dominated by Sevilla and would have deservedly lost if not for the brilliance of their world-class keeper. This was not a defensive masterclass; the only good thing you can say about United is that they didn’t completely disintegrate and lose shape under some serious pressure. But they were riding their luck at times in defense and couldn’t generate any threat on the counter, which the best Mourinho teams were always able to do. I’m not so sure as the pundits that they will be able to flip the switch to suddenly produce a dominant attacking performance at home.

Sure, United can still win at Old Trafford and go through in the return leg, but now Sevilla only need a score draw to progress. Based on what I saw I would say the chances are about even, maybe 51 to 49 in favor of Sevilla.

51 to 49. Ha. That’s worse than Ryan’s 1% bollocks.

I think if united open themselves up to attack, Sevilla will have a field day.

As always, depends entirely who gets the first goal

I'm going for Sevilla

Credit to the special one. Hopefully he can go to New heights and copy our 2-2 at home.

Yes, it was. The LFC job was vacant not long afterwards and Mourinho was known to be interested, but the scuttlebutt among my Liverpudlian mates was that - despite the fact that ManUre were the victims - his antics that night were a factor in the board turning him down in favour of Rafa.

Yes I'd love to beat them in the final if that happened, but I don't want to play them in the final. I don't want to see them in the final, I don't want to see them in the next round, I want those inbred cunts beaten every time they go on the pitch!

The idea of a Liverpool - United champions league final actually sickens me. The fear of losing would outweigh all the potential joy of winning. It would be awful.

It came so close to happening in 2007. We're just lucky Milan won the semi final.

Why on Earth would you WANT to face United in the final, offering the possibility of losing to the on the biggest stage in club football?!

Obviously a win would be the things dreams are made of but the alternative.....

I thought Sevilla suspect in defence and showed absolutely abysmal finishing and composure in the area (esp. that greedy fecker Muriel) but should still have won by a couple - didn't their mothers ever teach them 'head the ball down' ! However their midfield was quite superb, brilliant technical skills, lovely short fast interplay and constantly switching play and stretching United all over the pitch. It got worse for United when the 'best midfielder in the world' came on, they were totally overrun then.

United were trash as the stats show Sevilla (25-8) United 6 (1) and Sevilla definitely deserved far more than a draw. However Sevilla were shite at both ends whereas United created virtually nothing all game. If they continue in that vein at OT there is every chance they'll eventually find the net. But United will score too as Sevilla's defence is just very very small and I can see Lukaku / Jones / Pogba winning a few headers in the box.

Bonega was superb against United last night; technically brilliant, tough, good tackler and totally set the pace for the midfield controlling the game, maybe he would look great alongside Keita (though we'd have the smallest midfield in the league).

Always this
