I am a fan. I would prefer Kyrgiakos to be first-choice CB instead of a backup player. In my opinion he knows his defensive business far better than Skrtel and is more effective when he goes up for corners.

I disagree! I think he is far too rash! He's that desperate to make a challenge and get tight to someone that he makes terrible mistakes and makes even the average centre forwards look good! I can see where your coming from becuase when he does win a tackle his agression makes him look great, but he seems to get shown up and caugh out too many times for me!

There is something in what you say, wewonitfivetimes, but the way I see it, at least Kyrgiakos is decisive and challenges for the ball, even though it doesn't work out. I prefer that to Skrtel who is like a rabbit caught in the headlights when a cross comes over, and ends up doing nothing. 🙂
