I called this and got laughed at earlier in the season .

35 million rumoured fee..

Sign him...

Last PL flop we signed has won the golden boot last two seasons on the run..

Could be a clever signing..

A very FSG type signing..

35 million is a great buy.
Last time we signed a player from that league quickly, quietly and without much fanfare, we got one Fabinho.
I'll take a similar type of success story.

Given that he plays for Holland with Gini and Virgil, I’m pretty certain Klopp has been given assurances about him from them
If we do end up signing him.

Seems like a major douche and pretty thick. Plus doesnt seem to like to work hard. At least when Salah wasnt doing well for Chelsea he still worked hard for the team.

He's good mates with Wijnaldum so that may help him settle a bit more this time round if it happens.

He has all the attributes to be a great signing.

He called out his coach and said he should be starting a lot more. Not sure he's great for team spirit...

But he's a manc

That is defo a twist. But he was hounded out of there as useless, so it might be fun see him blossom. Zaha was also a manc, but they never used him and he could have been a useful addition to Our Squad (although I don't want him due to all the flashy mashy bing bang stuff around him)

I haven't seen him play club football since he left United but recently I saw him 3 times playing for Holland and he never stopped running. He was hugely effective in all 3 games and man-of-the-match in 2 of them. Not only did he work hard for the team but his effort allied to his creativity caused all sorts of problems for the opposition. Given that these 3 games were against a full strength French team (2-0 to Holland) and 2 games against Germany (2-2 and 2-3) he definitely looks as if he could prove a useful signing especially for £35m.

If we were to buy him, he'd be going on the bench wouldn't he? Front 3 picks itself

We have no choice but to start the season rotating more as Mo & Sadio will both need some rest after AFCON. And more generally we know we need to rotate a bit more and have other people we can rely on.

We also need a bigger squad to compete in other trophies, the long term goal of Klopp's team is surely to not keep crashing out of all domestic tournaments?

We should be challenging for everything.

To be honest back to back champios league finals and missing out on the league by such a fine margin, have if anything, reduced my appetite for the FA Cup and Mickey mouse cup (if the latter was possible)

The argument that a few additional decent players coming in would prevent a shite slump like early 2019s and win us the league next season , that I can buy into

When you arent stupid rich, I admire an ideal of focussing on an objective of value and diverting all resources to it.

Also, its January 2020, were 7 points clear, have Wolves in the FA cup tomorrow before a midweek prem match- SCM/ every fan ever - rest sadio, salah , play wilson blah

We might end up selling Shaq to fund Depay? I'd be disappointed to see Shaq go but if Klopp doesn't trust him then we might as well cash in on him. Depay would slot in seamlessly up front. Does he have a bad attitude or have we just put two and two together here? I remember thinking he looked a clown driving around Manchester in his convertible with his pit bull in the passenger side. Like Babel, he seemed interested in making music but was he a disruptive?

I'm not saying sign him but I would warm to the decision. United fans would be sick if he ripped it up for us. There is that.

If the price really is 35M then it's not a huge gamble.

Unlike Babel he's gone on to really prove himself since his big move went badly.

Time to get the summer camping gear out of storage, give it a clean up and start thinking about latrine trenches
