Caice-d'oh!

How long will Chelsea string this out before accepting they can’t buy either?

How long before the penny drops with Caicedo?

Season started last night! Brighton want their money

Lol I think people overthink this Twitter stuff. Schmadtke or whoever isn't gonna pull out of a deal because Fabrizio Romano is repeating some texts from an agent on Twitter
I don't think it's to influence the negotiations directly but more the sway of fans engagement. Twitter meltdown = increase in Twitter traffic = exposure for the twats like Romano. It's the macho Keeping Up With The Kardashians and football fans can't have enough of it.

Not only that, but I've eaten my beans and curious meats.

Actually pretty fucking tasty.

I said to my mates on a whatsapp group that I miss the days when we would get our transfer updates on the way out of work when we picked up the Echo and turned to the back page or on the 7.20am sports update on radio city. We didn't shrivel up & die due to a lack of update in between

why can’t they buy either? can’t keep up with the Lavia and Caicedo stuff anymore but it seemed like they thought they could do 80-90 for Caicedo and 20 for the Leeds guy a couple of days ago.

the rot started donkeys ago, as a schoolboy i used to ask my mum to print out the transfer gossip from teamtalk because she had internet at work

We should just pull out. The kid wants to go to Chelsea... let him go there.
He followed them for months.

For context he also follows Arsenal and City.

Romano had his pants pulled down on that update.

Edit. Clicked the link and even Twitter told Romano he had his pants pulled down and embarrassed himself.

January 15th 2023 he's been following them since.

The phrase “winning the transfer market” has been in use for a few years now, but there was a while on Thursday night and Friday when it felt like a portal to the pure dimension of the transfer market had opened and sucked us all in. Liverpool and Chelsea had simultaneously decided that Moises Caicedo and only Moises Caicedo was the answer, and the Brighton midfielder was poised to move to one of them for a British record transfer fee – but which one?
By Friday afternoon both “Caicedo” and “Caceido” were trending in the UK. A transfer battle between two big clubs, with armies of hysterical fans gobbling up fresh fake news served up every few seconds by a breathless array of liars and chancers, became a real-time Twitter superspectacle which, frankly, proved more enthralling than an actual football match between the clubs (the last four of which have finished 0-0).

If he really wants Chelsea and no one else, he's got to be getting a little annoyed that they let this happen and haven't been able to sort it out since.

That “he only wanted xxx” is a pure Romano wanker thing to make himself relevant.

@Beamrider made a great point ages ago - the reality is, players follow the money, there’s very little romance or thought about it.

There isn’t some romantic notion about wanting to play for Chelsea (even though they’re “light years” ahead of us) - it’s just money.

Pay him & his handlers more than Chelsea & Romano will start tweeting about how Caicedo was “blown away by the Liverpool project”!!!

I remember one of my mates got a dodgy bt cellnet mobile phone that had a tenner of credit every time you turned it off and on. We tried to call one of those dirty phone lines and couldn’t even get to speak to a ‘lady’ before the credit ran out.

It's difficult to be mad at the player.

The Times had a profile about Caicedo and his background. He comes from a very poor neighbourhood in Santo Domingo - has 9 siblings. His dad worked as parking attendant and his mum sold flowers. He's literally lifted the entire family out of poverty.

Difficult to blame him for following the money. It's also obvious to see that he's surrounded by agents/advisors, who're doing their best to extract their share as well.

Can't imagine he has the privilege of choosing what is a better footballing project for him.

He can't be registered. I just don't want him signed and paraded across the pitch ahead of our game, in front of the Chelsea fans.
Fair. I couldn’t give a fuck. Last time that happened We dicked them 1-0 with Torres watching on. Never understood why we sold them Meirles after that either. I really liked him.

Yh, but Torres was never paraded across the pitch ahead of our game. He played in it. We got the chance to kick him.

This would be different. Chelsea fans would get a boost ahead of the game. I don't want that. If anything, I want uncertainty over whether the deal will go through on both sides, so if we dick them, they'll panic splurge another 10m on him.

And if we lose, we'll do the same and get ourselves a DM.
